Mark Zuckerberg Bargain Shopping. Why Do People Expect Wealthy People To Spend Their Money

Mark Zuckerberg has more money than one could ever possibly spend, but he's still pinching pennies ... and his hunt for a bargain brought him to Costco.

Check out this pic of the Facebook founder and CEO in the TV aisle of the budget store in Mountain View, CA ... it's not exactly the place you'd expect to find a multi-billionaire. He seems to be in the market for a monitor.

Seems Zuck's just like the 99 percent -- aside from his estimated net worth of $79.4 BILLION -- looking for a deal during a holiday shopping spree.

Most members of the three comma club would send an assistant to handle such pedestrian tasks, but not Mark ... instead, he's rolling up his sleeves and braving the outside world with his wife, Priscilla Chan.

No word if Mark and Priscilla also hit up Ross Dress For Less -- there's one in the same shopping mall -- we're guessing they got their fill of bargains at Costco.

Why is this a story? I know it was a story that caught my attention so its doing what its supposed to do, but why do people expect wealthy people to spend a lot of money on everything?

Isn't not spending a lot of money on everything one way you stay wealthy?

Rich people know how to stay rich. Bill Gates said in an interview a few years ago that he shops the same way.

I see where you’re going with this, but we’re not talking about a guy that is trying to save a million bucks so he can retire a little early.

The dude is worth $80B.

And Costco? I mean, I could understand Best Buy, but Costco? Feels like a publicity stunt...

I, for one, still enjoy a good trip to the supermarket.

Or at least my couriers do.

People who grew up an average American don't just overnight become a snob because they're wealthy...

"make the picture grainy and a little blurry so it looks like you were trying to snap it real quick"

There isn't a phone camera on earth that takes pictures that shitty anymore.

Poor people are surprised when they find out most actual rich people are more responsible with their money than most poor people

His wife is looking chunky. She is transforming to the next step on the Asian curve a bit early.

I bet the value of Zuckerberg’s time is much much more than the money he saved on a monitor.

Sam Walton drove a ‘79 F150 the last years of his life...

Said he couldn’t put dogs in a Rolls Royce...

this, my old man did pretty well for himself and sometimes I'd give him shite about shopping for deals, penny pinching, he'd always respond by saying "it didn't come easy, I'm not letting go of it that easily"
