Great, since she couldn’t break out in pop music and “had” to get into country music, she can now transition to hip hop. That demographic is famously accepting of queer folk and very respectful to women, win win for her.

Remember when country music was a bunch of men and women that grew up hard in the rural US and wanted to sing about it?

I think I'm going to write a song about this..."I'll have to tune into to country so I can say I'm tuning out"

That being said, I'm sitting here listening to my Johnny Cash Marty Robbins Gunfighters album

she says she’s leaving because of what she views as the country music industry’s unwillingness to honestly reckon with its history of racism and misogyny and to open its gates to more women and queer people and people of color.

Country music needs a purging

I think there’s starting to be a shift away from radio country and more to independent country artists. There’s good music out there. This year I’ve seen Josh Abbot Band, Sam Barber, Flatland Cavalry, Turnpike, and seeing Tanner Usray and CWG next month. The energy has been great at all those shows.

Any country artist playing on FM radio, ain’t country. So I never considered her country to begin with and don’t know if I’ve ever heard a song by her.

The country's downfall is due to the idiots who live in the country. We reap what we sow. We choose who we vote for, we choose how to be entertained. All systems -politics, entertainment- exist to either make money or stay in power. Everything else is just window dressing.
Certainly the entertainment industry trys to manipulate us, but you can choose to NOT be manipulated.

There was a nice little blip in the early 2000’s but, generally speaking, Nashville is a pale ghost’s shadow of the salad days of the 90’s.

The music sucks, there are virtually no artists, the wanna-be-like-Austin vibe is disheartening.

And even though this whiny woman can’t even see it, they’ve almost completely dumped women from the play list.

Real country - yeah, right….

I think it's been about ten years since she put out an album, who gives a shite if she's leaving country music since she's left it all anyway? Her husband has more country songs than she does and he's barely memorable.

How did she not have a starring role in the Country Music documentary by Ken Burns? He would have loved her.

She’s upset because the country music fans took a stance on what kind of music we want to hear and she’s butt hurt over it.
She has some really good songs that I liked but she just made career suicide

People are streaming these songs out of spite. It’s not out of love of the music. It’s to own the libs.”

And the “libs” don’t even listen to this music and tried to get it pulled off the radio and Aldean cancelled by calling the song “racist”

The Aldean song had been out of months and was barely charting before her beloved “libs” decided to crusade against it

Wonder how Darius Rucker feels about her rant. Or Kane Brown.

Some of biggest country artists of all time (Dolly, Shania, Carey Undewood more recently, Taylor Swifts rise to stardom)

Her rant makes no sense
