I don't understand any of what this is about, but whoever's kids those are need to move them tf out of the way. Usually there are gates blocking off the finish lines to keep idiots out of the way. It's unfortunate the officials didn't clear the track.

With that kind of marathon time she would have to be riding a horse. Its 18 mins better than the men's world record. In her defense, she was about to win the women's portion of race, hence the tape at the line. But judging by the crowd, and the fact the finish is on steep hill leading down into a waterfront parking lot, it was a weekend 20K or half marathon fun-run type event. The bald guy finishing along with her was likely pacing her.
This is the kind of shite I am relegated to observing when LSU baseball has an off day.

Yall are missing a huge point here. A big part of doing these events is to inspire others, like her kids, to see that if you train and put in hard work, you can achieve whatever you put your mind to.
Those 5 seconds would have created core memories for those kids of their mom achieving something difficult.
Instead, she looks like a selfish arse that didn't want her family to share in her achievement. Oh, and the family suffers and sacrifices while she's training and they deserve some of the credit as well.

First off.. is no one going to talk about the participation trophy of breaking a ribbon as if won...when you just ran a 20k in 1:40.:xx ...so she did 50 min 10k pace. Everyone has there own personal el guapo and I can appreciate the effort and it seems like she was excited so good for her but...she wasn't in contention for any thing
2) so she isn't fast and the kids are little..dont think Dad was trying to distract or delay mom. Looks like what I have seen happen dozens of times... Little kids want to run out to meet their parent...and maybe run the last 10 yds with them. Again this is 50min 10k pace
3 ) the twitter account is a representation of a major Illness in society at large - especially 1st world women
A need to jump into something they have no knowledge of ( the event is in Brasil and she appears to be British? "Mum" ) and has to fein over-outrqge for something not affecting her and is minor at worst
