This is a good, reliable follow for resources on active Cal fires.

The fire would have to jump the 405 and sepulveda Blvd. That's a shite ton of concrete, and I think the wind has died down.

I mean, there's a fire in Runyon Canyon right now. If they keep popping up in that area like they have tonight, eventually one will be in Bel Air

There's been several fires in the past few years in the hills nearest to UCLA, and nothing has gotten close to campus.

The wind is behind us, so if any new fires spring up, they won't be nearly as devastating as what's occured in PP and altadena

Imagine trying to evacuate 150k people on streets that are normally out the as traffic as it is? Nightmare fuel.

Starting to see why those zombie movies have so many cars on the highway. never understood that. Guess if you gotta get out you get out however you can. This is crazy.

Guessing downtown LA is too busy and would require too much manpower to do contraflow?

They need to consider doing contra flow on the main flow streets and highways like they do for hurricanes.

There’s too much traffic in LA on an average weds night, this doesn’t seem well executed logistically.

There is no way this would work. It would be absolutely bedlam.
