How about just implode Middleton and build an updated library that actually fit the architecture of campus. The thing is a monstrosity

The subsequent meeting between Patton and Middleton was one of the most fateful of the Battle of the Bulge. Perhaps uniquely, it was the soft-spoken, bespectacled subordinate, Troy Middleton, who convinced the impatient Patton that the main highways leading into Bastogne must be severed; that German strongholds around the city must be retaken, and the highway/rail center denied to the enemy.
Patton not only listened; he became a total convert: especially as developments validated Middleton’s tactical vision. Patton himself subsequently extolled the plan as “tactical prescience”, and wrote to Middleton late in the war: “Your decision to hold Bastogne was a stroke of genius.”

Meh. Dude doesn’t deserve a library. Let’s name it after Raz.

Miller shall henceforth be named Black 1 and Herget will Be Black 2. You can workout out at Black 3, for, early known as the U Rec, which is completely racist.

Why is the name of a WWII vet and a university president being removed?
Posted on 6/10/20 at 8:26 pm to Modern
How dare a war hero and LSU president from 60 years ago not be as progressive as someone alive today!
Burn it down.
Burn it down.

Great post. There hasn't been a leader at LSU who can come close to the intelligence, bravery and leadership of Middleton.
