This is what happens when you can’t fire people. They end up getting promoted to positions of uselessness so they can’t harm Day to day decisions but end up costing overhead. Also what happens when you have to hire a $200,000+/year diversity coordinator

Damn, cheaper than I thought. ULL went from 1200 to 4k in 5 yrs and is right below 6 now.

frick going there now, it's the same price as LSU.

That is still a good price when compared to other flagship universities in the south.

I'm curious how much of these fees go to frivolous stuff like lazy rivers, etc.

All I can say is thank fricking god TOPS was still full until I didn't need it anymore. Left LSU with only $7,500 in debt, and that's because my dumbass needed a fifth year

That's dirt cheap for a college education in today's world. Of course the old saying "you get what you pay for" still is true today.

Lazy river was 100% fees

LSU officials have often pointed out that students, in 2011, passed the fee increase that funded the water feature, in the shape of the school's initials, and other amenities at the $85 million recreation center.

I remember a girl friend going to Loyola and I thought 20K+ was a lot back then. Now its $40K/yr.

Tulane $48.9K
Loyola $40K.

So LSU still a lot of bang for the buck.

How top heavy has LSU become?

I've heard that the ratio of administrators to students has exploded at all colleges over the last 15 years.

that's a damn good question and no one ever seems to pursue this. you would probably be shocked at some of the salaries

Suck it up.

Wow...my out-of state tuition was only like $3,900. When I transferred it to in-state as a Louisiana resident it was like $1,800. And this was in '03.
