Y’all didn’t have to have third parties sell beer and security work it so it’s a bit different.

Probably had a keg truck pulled up on the front lawn.
And what's wrong with kegs? Extremely hard to died from drinking (solely) too much beer. If they want to control the Parade Grounds make it a keg-only area.

The last one is BS but most of the rest are reasonable and were adopted at many other schools over 20 years ago.

I am all for them moving their parties/tailgates/whatever back to their houses, which is the way it was when I was there as a student-- then again when I was there the drinking age was 18, so EVERYONE was legal to drink anyway (stupid 21 year old drinking age-- thanks for nothing, MADD).
Just get them off of the nice tree-lined grassy areas where old alums like me tailgate with families. When they closed down the parade grounds to the frats after the videoed fight and pledge death last year, a lot of frats moved to our quiet spots in the area behind U High and by the Lod Cook Hotel. Huge tents on the lawns where dads and kids throw footballs, vulgar rap being blasted ridiculously loud, sheesh.

First, and foremost, IFC and NPHC are fundamentally different in that NPHC is a mix of fraternities and sororities, whereas IFC is strictly fraternities. Besides that glaring difference, things like the rush/recruitment process, chapter size, activities like step-shows and pledge reveals are not a thing in IFC and are core to NPHC, alumni relations/involvement are way more a part of the NPHC culture than they are in the IFC culture.

The Greek system at LSU is not segregated. The numbers are small but there are people of all races in the fraternities and sororities.

You post an undated photo of one fraternity?
I went to my daughter’s sorority initiation recently (no pics) and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s one of the big 3 at LSU and there was virtually every race represented. Black, Asian, Hispanic, white, etc. And not just a token. Multiples of each.
Plenty of fraternities are integrated as well. The beauty of it is that is was natural and unforced, as it should be.
It is you who are backwards and misinformed.

Yeah, they kicked us out of the houses for tailgates in my day. It sucked. Suddenly there were huge plans for pledges to set up and save spots on campus at 4 am. Everyone had to walk out there and use porta potties. It was so much better at the houses. Alumni would swing through all day and there were very few fights. Real bathrooms and bedrooms were a godsend.
To the guy who thinks there is segregation...

It's considered open-source alcohol that can be drugged and/or easily accessed by minors. It also doesn't allow them to put an arbitrary limit on people's intake such as six 12oz beers. It's total fricking bullshite.

Yeah, he's a dumbass. The reason there aren't more whites in NPHC and more blacks in IFC is because they don't rush. If they don't want to join white fraternities, why should they be forced to?
And your example is a perfect picture of modern Greek Life. Only idiots think it's full of rich white racists. Conservatives? Yes. Racists? No.

I am very curious to see how many freshmen this costs LSU in the fall. They will blame the alleged budget problem, but this Greek BS is going to hurt enrollment.
