He's a legit cajun and has an accent but of course he exaggerates it on his show. He's gone on record admitting it's all an act that started with making his kids laugh.
But yeah he's making huge $. Walmart sells his products all over the country.

Hes a good dude and a blast to hang out with. Does he go overboard with the accent and antics - of course, but that is part of the act. And he makes some really good food. Except for that damn cheese in the pastalaya. That's gross.

There was a guy who grew up where I did, he was a few years older, but he was the stereotypical douche. It was no surprise when he became a police, then he went on to do whatever is required to be a state police. He is the typical cocky a-hole whose mouth used to get him in trouble in HS (with other people.. Mouthing off then getting his arse whipped).
The sad part is that seems to be a trait of some police, state police, which is sad because there seems to be a big gap between the shite heads and the good ones.
And I hate when traffic is really slow and you see a state trooper hit his lights, ride past traffic on the side, then pull up ahead of a car close to where people are passing whatever is causing traffic to be slow, then turn off their lights.
And this dude is a state trooper who ran from an accident. I remember when it happened and it was posted on here.

This is why Louisiana is so fricked up. Stupid lazy state employees frick up or don't do anything. The state fires them with good cause, then later on they get their job back.
And more than half of the citizens support it.
