Yes. In an epic fit of stupidity, LSU took fraternities from having pregame parties at their houses in a somewhat supervised manner, with parents and alumni dropping by, to a free-for-all at their tailgates on the Parade Grounds, as some sort of plan to curtail the partying and drinking.
Now the punishment is to send them back where they preferred to be all along?

I think that’s his goal, but most people are going to miss that fact, and assume he’s targeting fraternities or the Parade Grounds as a problem on game days.

I believe the reason why everything was moved to the parade grounds was because they laid the hammer on frat house parties, and can have control of situations. Can frat parties at houses still be catered? That was the loophole we found when I was there. You could not have alcohol in the house unless a caterer was inside the house selling it to you.
I think the parade ground was a cool idea, and I am surprised that for the most part that everyone gets along. However, something about hanging out at the house with your date before the game is so nostalgic.

LSU fraternities don’t have shooting issues. Why would they need to be banned over something that had nothing to do with fraternities?

The frats want to go back to the frat houses. LSU is who moved them to the parade grounds in the first place.
I suspect this is Henry passing something for his former bros in the name of safety. As an added bonus for LSU they will probably sell prime spots to corporate setups.

Fortunately the weather may prevent this from being an issue today.

They were already planning to show up at the parade grounds on social media. I came across a discussion yesterday. The spirit of their conversation was that unity field was taken from them so they’ll just take over the parade grounds.
