I think about this every time I get an email or junk mail asking me to donate to my alma mater. When asked personally, I’ve explained to the person asking for money that the university will only receive my tax dollars because any extra money I would be able to donate was squeezed out of me by the university when I was at the poorest point in my life. When they look confused I start with the textbook scam then go on to the technology fees, parking costs, etc and usually by then they’ve excused themselves to move on to their next target. 20 years later it’s still fresh on my mind and I will never forget what they did to me and other poor students who were just trying to make something out of their lives.
After typing all of this I think I may have needed therapy 19 years ago.

I always have something to complain about and can’t think about one thing I’d complain about with any of the 6 Ego lawn tools I own. I’m going into year 6 with the Ego blower and string trimmer and they still work just as good as the day I bought them.
He is a good man. He has done a lot for that school and his people. Unlike a lot of those activists he actually puts his money where his mouth is. He doesn’t take, he gives.

Burbank at Walkons seems like an easier fix yet it continues to flood repeatedly.
If it doesn’t inconvenience me or anyone else I’ll let someone in only if I know they’re going in the same direction as me. If it’s someone trying to cross 6 lanes of traffic to make a left and expecting everyone to stop to let them through they can sit there all day.

Thanks. Makes me care even less about the future of the mall.
The problem is they will still congregate wherever law abiding citizens are. Top golf, LSU tailgates, etc. The only thing that will work is to make them uncomfortable. Bring the national guard in. Watch every move they make. Loud music, a fricking light show in the undercarriage of their cars, driving like idiots, etc - pull them over. Take them feel as unwelcome as you possibly can. To hell with the optics. A lot of people criticize our current governor but he’s exactly the type of person you need to fix this problem.
We also need to start letting businesses know why we will not be returning. You can bet your arse L’auberge won’t let that mall shite happen on their property. Places like top golf, etc need to start adding more security and removing people who do not belong. I don’t have all the answers but amputation will not stop the cancer from spreading to the next living part.

I’m pretty sure the mall is city of BR and the anchors (maybe not all of them) are St. George.

You never know how full of shite you are until you have had food poisoning.
I had it once about 30 years ago and it’s something I will never forget. I was sleeping on the bathroom floor for two days.
Since then I can’t count how many times I’ve told someone “you don’t have food poisoning because if you did you wouldn’t be outside of the bathroom right now”
