Notice the garbage in the parking lots at these stores. The Burbank location has probably a 15 yard dumpster’s worth of loose trash at all times.

This is just another example of the toxic patriarchy women deal with today.

I can’t confirm any of the negative stories I’ve heard about him but I also have never heard anyone say anything positive about him in a personal way.

Is his wife a nice person? Asking for a friend.

No shite. It’s very Britney Spears-ish
The fact that the burger kings in Baton Rouge sell enough food to even pay the electric bill fascinates me. The Burger King on bluebonnet near Burbank is one example. I pass by at breakfast, lunch and dinner hours and it’s never busy. It’s a huge mystery to me.
They were already planning to show up at the parade grounds on social media. I came across a discussion yesterday. The spirit of their conversation was that unity field was taken from them so they’ll just take over the parade grounds.
Downvoting the lefties is so satisfying. The secret is to downvote an entire thread then return to see them melting about the downvotes. Then you downvote the melts.

Town Donuts on Perkins near YMCA Plaza is really good and the people working there are incredibly nice.
And it looks like there is a poor dog living in there. Some animals go through hell.

It is quaint. The Zachary location works best for our commutes but I suppose we can consider options in the vicinity. I just can’t get too far away from downtown BR.

Americana in Zachary

Due to work-related reasons we may need to move to the Zachary area as it makes the most sense logistically.

After doing a preliminary search Americana appeals to us. What I’m not understanding is why there are so many houses for sale in that neighborhood. Some have been on the market for a very long time with significant price decreases over time. I can’t understand why this is. Is it poor construction quality? Problems in the neighborhood? People unhappy with Zachary in general? Any insight would be appreciated. We will not be using the school system so that’s not a factor for us.

I’ve been told there are so many properties without a clear title it’s a huge ordeal.

I have no law enforcement experience but LSUPD is not going to be able to solve the problems. It will need to be someone who doesn’t care about offending people (Landry) and that person will need to make it very uncomfortable for the trash hanging around on game day regardless of their color of skin. Anyone causing any problems gets pulled over and the car and paperwork gets scrutinized. Impound lot on campus for tow trucks to retrieve after the traffic clears. Paddy wagons on standby for those with active warrants and new arrests. It can be fixed but it will require manpower and leaders who aren’t concerned about optics.

It seems like game day the past few years has become increasingly ghetto. It’s a shame because it used to be one of the safest large gatherings you could find. It was really a remarkable thing. Hundreds of thousands of people having a good time for an entire day and very minor incidents. Now you have to worry about shootings. I agree with the other poster. Bring the national guard in on game days.
