For real it’s def something worth fighting for. The rest of the US with a few exceptions (and maybe none comparable to Louisiana) is incredibly homogenized. The state’s food/culture is used on this site as derision, but there have definitely been wars fought over less. I think it’s at least worth sticking around to volunteer/vote/fix.

This site is actually one of the most negative places I’ve ever encountered. Seems self-feeding. It's like taking a bucket to empty the gulf at the moment tho. So long as politicians stay in office and keep having tax dollars to spend they'll never tackle or even acknowledge the real issues dragging this state towards the point of no return

I agree with everything you are saying but you have no hope of success if your leadership is corrupt. The blind people of the state keep electing the same leaders because of the (D) or (R) in front of their name or because they are hoping for a personal favor.

Louisiana has always been fricked up. At least as far back as Huey Long. I am old enough to remember the 1970s and the graft and corruption never change. I've grudgingly accepted the obvious. It is just who Louisiana is.
