Who is going to be the first to announce in the greater BR area?

I am betting Ascension, closed Tuesday (possible virtual day, but we have proved that don’t work) and late start Wednesday

Frivolous lawsuits are no joke.

If they close everything in advance, that will ensure Tuesday will be a nice day. Packing for a picnic.

There is already about 4-5 inches of snow here with more coming down. Temps won't rise above freezing until Thursday so I think schools will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday at least.

Saw a new pothole on Hwy 73. Ascension schools are still determining when it’s safe to return the kids to school

9° is no big deal if it’s dry. People in LA aren’t smart enough to drive in perfect conditions, do you really want to get out on the road if it’s icy?

Plus we aren’t equipped to handle icy roads and bridges like places up north that regularly deal with icy roads.

So foolish. What would y’all have done if someone had pulled a muscle? How would the ambulance had made its way through the destruction?

I remember back in 2008 when it snowed around BR. Some dude called 98.1 and asked for the number to call to get a snowplow to his street.

No disagreement but the residents of this welfare state want to not go to work when the temperature drops below 40 degrees

With the “Artic Blast” aka “Polar Vortex “ next week, what will Schools do?
Already out for MLK on Monday, I am betting that Ascension and most of the greater BR are will also close on Tuesday and Wednesday, what say the OT?

Why not make it easy and just announce “er’body off this week”.
