With the “Artic Blast” aka “Polar Vortex “ next week, what will Schools do?
Already out for MLK on Monday, I am betting that Ascension and most of the greater BR are will also close on Tuesday and Wednesday, what say the OT?

You think that's soft. They no shite closed schools around here on Monday "on account of high winds possibly impacting school buses."

If this ends up a named weather event they'll likely shut down for the week. Cold front Steve is no joke.

Just remember, "teachers are hero's".
What a joke.
Must be nice to just shutdown your job with pay for a little cold weather.

Possibly a little winter mix Monday night. So with temps freezing and possible slick roads chances are good for virtual learning.

Yet you seem like the type who would sue a school if it stayed open during inclement weather and your kid got hurt driving there.

Schools will be closed on Tuesday. 4 day weekend and there will be a little bit of ice around. They don't take any chances with ice.

I second this the more I think about it.

With Monday rain and freezing temps, Tuesday is a definite closure.

But Tuesday temps should melt the ice and it will be a sunny dry day.

But since Tuesday night gets into the teens/twenties, they might roll back start time to 9am to ensure any residual ice has melted away with the dawn.
