Why would Skenes want an NYC apartment as a Pittsburgh player?

he's going to be a free agent eventually** hes either going to end up a yankee or a dodger. no way in hell the pirates owner comes across with the kind of money it takes to keep him, he wont spend on his team now while he has him.

Right, what's the worst thing that happened to a famous person outside a NYC apartment building?

Just one of the many reasons it's so unappealing.

does this number seem shockingly low

That was my first thought. This apartment may have been pointed out to her as much an investment as a residence. Maybe even more.

I don't think they would've been troublesome neighbors.

They wouldn't have been.

Issue was probably over concerns that a celebrity resident would attract a bunch of paparazzi and fans that would be hanging outside the building entrance all the time.

What would that be, exactly? Other than being a celebrity of sorts.

My guess is his next contract is as a Yankee

It could also be that Yankee fans didn't want a Pittsburgh Pirate living amongst them.

100% more to this story than advertised

A bunch of old waspy really wealthy people don't want the new money social media figure in their building. Pretty straight forward.

No he's not. He isn't even eligible for arbitration until after next year and won't be a free agent until after the 2029 season.

Why would you move to NYC when their soon-to-be mayor has made his intentions perfectly clear that he wants to tax you into poverty?

I'm sure your right. I'm just saying it's retarded to live in the largest city in the US and then complain about too much crowd/media/drama. It's like living next to the airport and complaining about noise or living next to campus and complaining about students.

I disagree. I imagine a lot of New Yorkers who own property are grateful to have a more private place to retreat to. They probably don’t want their home becoming overrun like that as well.

I wonder if her NIL etc. money was a problem for the co-op. If they did a search, they might have seen too much of her.

Yankees shouldve stepped in on this apt deal, and made sure Skenes would be interested once he becomes a free agent.
