1. I wonder how many people were steered to verbally discuss complaints with someone at LPSO instead of filing formal complaints or thought they were filing a formal complaint when they were just talking with someone? That's how you make sure it doesn't go into people files, it does't reflect negatively on your department, it's not discoverable, you don't have to do a lot of follow up work and in the rare case it's ever brought up again, you are in the clear. It's all about maintaining plausible deniability and when there are multiple issues that are brought up against one person, there's nothing in the file and there are somewhat plausible excuses for why nothing was ever done for each of the incidents, that's a big red flag folks.
2. Where any background checks performed on Denny after he was hired? Most police departments run them annually.
3. Ard and Jeff Taylor, the LP tax assessor, are using the same excuses from the same playbook...."didn't know""must have been a filing error""someone else didn't do what they were supposed to do"

i totally agree w/ all posted here. Ard is a pos and should be gone, Perkins should die, etc. However, has anyone stopped to think the counselor, as a required reporter, should have contacted CPS in'13?

Those deputies all look stupid standing with their hands in the same position. It's like they're letting everyone know they are sticking together.

Louisiana sheriffs definitely have a huge amount of power,and they say power corrupts. If I were in their shoes, I'd be concerned about the relationship they have with the private prison industry. Seems like a bad idea to combine the power of the sheriff's with the money to be made by incarcerating the most people possible.

Not even kind of true. Hell, when I worked for the Government and had a Top Secret security clearance they only renewed that every three years. Local PD’s don’t do shite after you are hired unless something comes up.

It wouldn’t have shown the protective order. Background checks run today in LA won’t show a protective order unless the court send to NICX.
