This was inevitable. Elon buying Twitter looks to have made quite the impact. My sister's tech company just laid off 200 people this week.

I would argue they have a negative impact because many of these people are telling them not to necessarily hire the most qualified candidate if they are not the proper race or orientation

These are these people’s entire jobs. So yes, I do take joy in karmic retribution. These people are largely scumbags always looking to ruin lives, so spare me of your crocodile tears.

those people did not steer companies through anything

They harassed and annoyed people who actually accomplish the tasks that make companies money so those companies can rack up juicy ESG points and curry favor with Reddit

Yeah that comment was hilarious. These departments did nothing to guide companies through anything.

I’ve spent hours rewriting job descriptions because HR has no idea of the jobs I’m recruiting for. Low and behold the resume submission increased materially after I rewrote the descriptions since now it actually details the job.

Just stick to ordering background checks and processing benefits. We don’t even let HR interview folks anymore. Their opinion is worthless

Explain to me if I a wrong, but the jobs that unfairly fired people.. They would be told by the companies to work for to fire them right? They were just doing the company's dirty work no? HR can't just up and fire someone without consulting with legal or get word from their hirer up.. I assume??
