How much higher is it expected to get in Golden Meadow?

If anyone has a radar with latitude and longitude on it you can see the direction of motion really well. I can't find one but the weather channel showed one and you can see it riding 93W.

Likely just a wobble. It has had that back and forth motion for a bit now. Watch the next few frames.

Looks like 5 mesos?
I'm not amazing at picking those out but I'd tend to agree with that.

ncle robs models showed 40ish mph for us.
For Lafayette that would be quite the surprise.

Notice the yellow tinge in the eye as it continues to dry and warm. For reference, look west towards Texas and notice the yellows (brown in map at bottom) out there where there is very dry air.

The most intense winds are gonna be in the northern eye wall of this northward moving storm. The whole direction of motion east side having the strongest winds is true in general but when hurricanes make landfall the most intense part of the storm and the part that holds together the longest is that eye wall "on top" of the eye as it moves north.
It will be interesting to see. Still would prefer the worst winds over the water.

I've just been sitting looking at the radar loop and picking out shapes that the eye is making. Mesmerizing.
