I rode out Rita in my old house in DeRidder, gonna ride this one out too. No trees close or big enough and have everything put up or tied down

My mom just sent me a video of the kids playing in the yard and texted “last green grass for the year” Rita killed the grass for 6 months.

It would be a miracle if any house within 40 miles of Holly doesn't suffer some significant damage.

I plan on cooking and drinking some beverages all day tomorrow. Definitely keeping from houston over to Laffy in my prayers. I hope this storm moving into shallow water and some shear weakens it some before landfall. God Bless everyone, make smart decisions, and stay safe!

Already flooding in Cocodrie Louisiana. @StephanieAbrams @weatherchannel @NHC_Atlantic Talking to way too many people who are staying unfortunately. We are safely out of the parish waiting out the storm in Tennessee.

How bad yall think it will be in Alexandria? My gf is a nurse and gets off around 730AM tomorrow. I'm wondering if she will be able to drive by that point or if she'll be stuck at the hospital.
