Has anyone found this storm's Kevin? I need a webcam that I can latch on to. L'Auberge has a webcam but it is not pointed at anything on interest.

I’m in Perry on a slab. Didn’t flood for Rita or 2016 floods. Well the hood did for 2016 but no water in the house.

The Derrick on Mars was knocked down for Katrina and they had waves over the first deck which was + 60’ or so. Did a lot of work for shell back then and they had a presentation of Katrina damage I got to watch.

Platform decom is my line of work. We see some crazy damage to platforms. We were in East cam blocks and the forecast is showing 45' seas there today for max height.
Our barge is 1 mile inshore of Sabine pass. Its going to be a wild ride

Outside of like Holly Beach, the chance of dying because you stayed is incredibly slim.

However, it exists, and the chance of being HIGHLY anxious and severely inconvenienced is 100%. Just not worth it to me, but to each their own.

100%. Anything south of, I’d say, the cemetery on 27, is as good as gone.

My mom is so upset. They are in the process of building here and selling their house in Texas. My dad officially retired on the 1st of September.

I’m convinced the government did some nuclear testing during Rita around the Holly Beach area

My families beach front house was obliterated

I rode out Andrew. The rain was horizontal. Never heard sounds like that.

Long about six am, the wind was dying down. I started to nod off. But the rain had worked through the top of my window and weakened the window blind mount. Just as I got to sleep, the blinds came crashing down.

Never been as scared in my life, and I’ve been in some scrapes.

For the mathematically challenged, that is 105 feet.

For reference, the biggest waves surfed at Praia do Norte are about 80'.

Offered his family again to stay with us in Leroy lastnight but he aint budging.

Leroy is marginally better.

Also, if you know where Leroy is, there's a fairly decent chance we spend holidays together.

I don't really wanna know.
