Statistically this means that the highest waves could have been as high as 32.1 m

For the mathematically challenged, that is 105 feet.

Can y'all convert this to H units. TIA

Man. I’d be blowing their phone up insisting they come stay. It’s not worth it.

One for the BINGO card from Levi:

[quote]A very slight double wind maximum exists on #Laura's north side. This could potentially lead to an eyewall replacement cycle later today that slows intensification, but with the eye's currently large size, it may take a long time or never occur. LINK ]

Saw some first hand damage to pad eyes and other solidly constructed steel at deck levels of 60-70' on platforms after Katrina and Rita. Really scary to consider forces that could damage steel at those heights.

Any other GODD information/estimates of what BR area will get wind/rain wise other than that?

The only major concern we should have around the BR area is the possibility of tornados, other than that it will be rain and some TS force winds.

You can go to nullschool.net and play with the settings and see wind speeds at different levels, past and future projections and so on, it is showing up to 50 mph winds in the Baton Rouge area.

Any chance this thing runs more NE and impacts New Orleans and Baton Rouge, or are we close enough that it’s pretty certain it’s headed for the Texas/Louisiana line?

What’s it like to be completely oblivious to the world around you? It actually sounds really nice.
