Per the Ukrainians (take with a large grain of salt) it’s roughly 24,000 which means that Russia is losing roughly 330 soldiers per day.

NASA has a satellite system that shows fires across the globe. When looking at Ukraine, you can see a pretty good representation of where the combat is occurring.
So looking at the NASA data from yesterday and then so far today, you can see the large increase in fires.

A lot of that shelling is in areas that the Russians are thought to have controlled. Since we can assume (I know this is risky) the Russians are not shelling themselves, it appears that the contested zone is inching back closer to the Russian border.

The only place the Ukrainians have made any major advancement is to the north of Izium in the Kharkiv area. That was 2 days ago. It appears they are now attacking across a broader area. The next few days will be telling.

I believe they are trying to drive to the north east of Izyum to disrupt inflows of supplies on the Interstates running north from Izyum.

Agreed, If they can disrupt the supply lines flowing out of Belograd, they will seriously weaken the Russian positions in that area.

ISW has been highlighting them on their map of the area (and only that one). They must have anticipated Ukraine trying to target those as a priority over others.

Good video on some Russia disinformation about Ukraine lying about deaths (i.e. Russia passing off a fake video saying Ukraine is lying about civilian deaths). It was a climate change demonstration from before the invasion with another news report audio put over the top.

I saw where Putin apologized to the PM of Israel today for that stupid statement.

Looking closely at some of that data, it looks like it's coming from industrial activities, and not actual fires....

Yea, i'm not sure how it works and flags what it does as a fire. Still a good resource for monitoring the fighting.

Notice it took a few days and the Israelis giving up their holds on their weapons being approved to be transferred to Ukraine.
