This ceased being a civil war when cities like Mariupol were bombed to dust and civilians killed on a mass scale. Prior to the bombing Mariupol was 50/50 ethnic Russian speaking ethnic Ukie. There is a damned good reason that Odessa hasn’t been shelled, because it’s 35-40 percent ethnic Russian speaking and a favorite holiday destination for Russians and Ukrainians and Slovaks and well everyone. Ethnic Russians in Odessa are more than happy to fight to the death with their Russian liberator cousins now. Mariupol not so much. It would be too hard to explain to middle class Russians why the frick there favorite summer homes and resorts have been bombed. So don’t tell me this is a civil war, frick that shite.
