I agree, it's terrible, Putin is a dictator and nobody disputes it. But let's not white knight Zelensky and his regime as some kind of example of democracy. They are equally corrupt, they violate minority rights, and they incorporated neo-Nazis in their active military.

This thread is about a fricking war where a globally recognized country is having their citizens raped, pillaged, murdered in cold blood. This is someone walking into your house and raping your wife and kids and then shooting them in cold blood.
And then doing that to your friends and neighbors and the place you go to pray.

Ukraine doesn’t have to be great for it to be important for Russia to be stopped. If Russia wins, Putin keeps going. If not, his security services deal with him and we take our chances with the next guy.

I wouldn't bet they weren't shot like this guy.
They killed one of the peace negotiators, Denis Kireev, because he was pushing for truce, so the far right leadership had him publicly whacked.
Looks like they gave him a beating first, and kneecapped him before shooting him in the head.

Not the best analogy. There are ethnic Russians living in Ukraine, like historically.Not actually Russian citizens. Though I'm sure some are or have dual citizenship.

Probably President Yanukovich and his administration they voted for, who was ousted by far-right.
It's basically like if Republicans ousted Brandon and his administration, and libs in Oregon and Cali decided to secede from the union. I think most conservatives would be ok with it, but who knows. Hence the civil war.
