They've pretty reliably stolen more than ample information to be reverse engineer most of our military tech. They certainly lag behind in getting a functional counterpart into circulation, but they're not planning on taking Taiwan with Soviet Era equipment.

Haha you people think Ivan in Russia is hacking top secret weapons technology from us is hilarious. They do have some ultimatum weapons. Their ability to train and operate an army is akin the amateurs. The guy in charge of Russia's military expenditures is the equivalent of bernie Madoff. Russia is the equivalent of some poorly raised kid, no dad around and a method out mother inheriting an arsenal at age 15. That is Russia. They shouldn't be feared from a strategically standpoint. They should be dear d because of a crazy person with the nukes.

There are varying degrees of war crimes. Putting POWs in front of cameras is technically a war crime but it would be a misdeeds war crime. Invading a sovereign country and indiscriminately shelling cities that results in thousands of civilian injuries and/or deaths are war crimes but are felony war crimes.

That is big If true. Russia needed to completely capture Irpin to get their artillery within range of the government parts of Kyiv.
