Chrome, any news about the "trapped" 2000 Russian soldiers caught with the river at their backs? I'm assuming they have mostly escaped by now.

So, Russia is good, because "the Jews" are supposedly trying to destroy them?
Good to know. I don't think that I have seen it quite expressed that way before.
Of course the ancient history is all wrong, but even the modern history is bunk. Stalin was extremely anti-Semitic, and the persecution of Jews in Soviet Russia was extreme.
Just read the Wikipedia article to get most of it.

1. They are less vulnerable than a train.
Obviously, but even the threat is a disruption.

2. Speaking of drones, how will Russia protect their supply lines once the mud season hits and the dirt roads become impassable leaving E50 has the only road that they will be able to use to supply their troops on?
3. Ukraine figured out how to keep Bahkmut and Avdiivka fronts supplied once the rail yards in those cities were in artillery range. Why is this any different? After all the one area where Ukraine has proven superior to Russia is in contingency planning.
And theres the subject change

He betrayed them. The Bolsheviks were predominantly Jewish and the early Soviet government was as well.

U.S.-Made F-16 Jet Fighter Crashes in Ukraine (WSJ)
quote:
A Ukrainian F-16 jet fighter was destroyed in a crash Monday, according to a U.S. official, just weeks after the first of the American-made aircraft arrived in Ukraine.
Initial reports indicate the jet wasn’t shot down by enemy fire, although the incident occurred during a massive Russian missile barrage across the country Monday, the official said. Rather, the crash was likely a result of pilot error.
Ukraine used the jets for the first time in combat to shoot down Russian missiles during the strikes this week, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Ukrainian Air Force wouldn’t confirm the crash or the status of the pilot. The Pentagon referred questions to the Ukrainian Air Force for comment.
quote:
But Ihor Polishchuk, the mayor of Lutsk, a city in northwest Ukraine, said this week that Ukrainian Air Force pilot Oleksiy Mes died on Monday during a combat mission. Mes was one of the first Ukrainian pilots to be trained on the F-16. His call sign was “Moonfish” and he frequently appeared in the media and visited Washington to lobby the U.S. to send Ukraine the jet fighters.
The news that one of Ukraine’s few F-16s has been destroyed is a major blow to Kyiv, which had pleaded for the jets for months before President Biden finally gave the green light for European countries to transfer the aircraft last year.
Kyiv hopes the advanced Western aircraft will give its forces an edge on the battlefield, particularly to shoot down incoming Russian missiles and help protect troops on the front lines. But they are also vulnerable to Russian air-defense missiles and present a high-value target for Moscow’s forces.
Zelensky announced Aug. 4 that the first of 80 promised F-16s had arrived in Ukraine. The Ukrainian air Force didn’t provide numbers, but a second U.S. official said a total of six aircraft had arrived and Ukraine has six pilots trained to fly them.

Bummer, but it’s a risk they had to take.

Does Russia actually have operational nukes? After so many lines in the sand, enough to make Obama blush, nary a nuke.
Maybe Putin is just another big mouthed pussy.

You've set the bar pretty high, but this may be the dumbest thing I've seen you post.
"Maybe the guy who hasn't ended the world yet is just a pussy"
Maybe that Soviet guy who didn't flip the switch on us when it was just a flock of birds or something was a huge pussy too
Forget that literally the entire west decided to operate with kid gloves when supporting Ukraine to avoid escalation risk vs how we've seen the west act when it comes to countries we know don't have nukes like Iran. But that fact is just too obvious and convenient.

CBS reporting that the pilot died, very sad.

Ukraine war latest: Ukraine's F-16 fighter jet crashes, killing pilot
by The Kyiv Independent news desk August 29, 2024 10:14 PM
One of the F-16 fighter jets recently delivered to Ukraine crashed while repelling a Russian mass attack, Ukraine's General Staff confirmed on Aug. 29.
The confirmation came after earlier media reports that the aircraft crashed during Russia's drone and missile strike on Aug. 26.
According to the military, the F-16 shot down four Russian cruise missiles during the attack, demonstrating "high efficiency."
"During the approach to the next target, communication with one of the jets was lost. As it turned out later, the plane crashed, the pilot was killed," the General Staff said.
The crash site was not disclosed.
Earlier the same day, Ukraine's Air Force announced that pilot Oleksii Mes with the call sign "Moonfish" had been killed on Aug. 26.
"Oleksii destroyed three cruise missiles and one attack drone while repelling a massive Russian combined air and missile attack," the Western Air Command said.
Ukraine's Defense Ministry has established a special commission to investigate the causes of the crash.

You miss the point that Russia is like the bully who bluffs his way to push around pussies. Then someone hits him in the mouth and he backs down. Russia has threatened nukes so much over 2 years, I've lost count.
BTW, there is plenty of reason to believe that most are not operational, or would detonate at launch, or before they leave Russian airspace.

And you continue to buy into the "because it hasn't happened yet, it definitely won't happen" fallacy

Russia is doing its piece for the environment and stopped ukraine from killing trees up in the hinderlands. Bold strategy by ukraine to take paper thin defense lines and further deplete them by sending troops to no mans land. The only digging in they will do is for their own graves.
Now that the total front line is weakened, Russia is making daily advances, far greater than in the past.
For good measure, Russia is absolutely destroying their power grid....
zelensky made a fortune doing the puppet masters bidding, time for him to end what he started and give back to Mother Russia what is Mother Russia's.

Damn. I didn't think they would lose one already. Hopefully a one off

Damn you never want to hear this. Huge blow to Ukraine. He and “Juice” whose name is Maj. Andrii Pilshchykov, were Ukraine’s 2 biggest advocates for the F-16 and came to the U. S. several times. They both were almost fluent in English which put them at the top of pilots to be trained on the F-16. Juice unfortunately died last year in a training accident and now Mes is gone as well.

Shitty pilots that wouldn’t get selected for fighter if they were in the US military flying a new (to them) plane with little training.
Yes we expected this.
