Probably time to dig in if they intend to stay and try and solidify their supply lines.
Maneuver commanders hate it but sometimes you have to take a beast because you are outrunning your logistics chain. The US saw that in Desert Storm where the actual progress was far faster than the planned progress, Ukraine was also likely slowed down by the number of POW they took which weighed heavily on US logistics in Iraq the first go round. I honestly can't believe Ukraine thought they would have this much success.

$40K to blow up a multi million dollar aircraft or air defense system is a pretty good ROI.

I haven’t seen these in action but apparently Azov are using these modernized BMP-1TS where they removed the 73 mm main gun with a 30 mm chain gun on a man less turret with better sights to go with an automatic grenade launcher and 2 Stugna-P ATGMs.

Also the new concept IFV from Ukrainian company Inguar Defense called the Inaguar-7. Looks pretty badass. Ukraine is going to have an entirely new sector to their economy after the war in defense contracts for their weapons as well as weapons made in Ukraine by foreign defense companies like Rheinmetall.

Agreed. Their biggest customers may be countries who bought Russian crap. I'd imagine Poland and the Baltic states would have an interest.

This will be a high dollar, hard currency tech industry. The Ukrainians are certainly not a "handout dependent" people.

Plus places like India and Pakistan who have always bought Russian could make the leap to the Ukrainian side. Their military drone production program is going to be huge.

So the ukrainian "assault" on a bunch of trees in the middle of nowhere has now been stopped.....after a waste of goodness knows how many troops and artillery they should have saved.
Meanwhile Russia is crushing the center and soon to take a vital logistics hub.....and there isnt a thing ukraine can do about it because they are up north wandering around in the woods.
What an absolutely ignorant strategic move.

So I guess the official Kremlin narrative is that 2500 sq km of Russia is just "woods and trees in the middle of nowhere"? (Let's ignore the loss of the Nat Gas station that represents the last Russian gas connection to Europe).
Just like I predicted above. Russia knows it can't take this ground back. So it says it's not important and it never really wanted it to begin with.
Second best army in the world.....can't even secure its own territory from a foreign inavasion.

Glad to see you are back with your astute analysis and predictions. Every time you do this Ukraine seems to defy the odds and kicks more Russian butt.
Do you also do football? I bet you had Florida State, right?

Given their methods in Ukraine, are the russians willing to turn Sudzha and other towns into rubble in order to retake them?
No. That would be way out of the historic Russian character. Going back to the 19th century, they were always concerned for the welfare and return of Russians enslaved by the Central Asian Khanates. They would spend hundreds of thousands of Russian lives in warfare but not civilians. The only exception I can think of was the starvation of the Kulaks, and Stalin did not realize the extent to which he was doing that.

Tell us again what the inevitable conclusion is. I haven't had much success getting Russia supporters to explain how and when this is going to end (other than you saying it's already over)

overextend yourself into Russia while they push forward and cut off your supply lines, brillant strategy.
When can we expect that Russian counter attack to cut off the Ukrainian supply lines?

You really have to screw your face up to understand the far right subculture that admires Putin. A guy who:
Makes a mockery of basic democratic principals of self government
Reigns over one of the lowest rates of practicing christianity and church attendance amongs supposedly christain countries
One of the highest rates of abortion in the world
Uses murder as a everyday tool to stay in power
Has no functioning court system
Wealthiest man in the world (wealth stolen from his citizens)
Sends hundreds of thousands of working class men to die in his wars of conquest
Runs a country with one of the lowest family formation rates in the world
Highest rates of smoking, alcoholism, domestic violence, drug abuse, and early death in the world
Blocks internet sites that try to subvert his own propaganda
One of the Top Ten most corrupt countries in the world
Literally a card carrying member of a Communist party
And this is their hero? It's baffling. And their only explanation is that he takes a strong stance against woke ideology and laughs at the transgender movement.
Ok.

The state media is not happy. I love the irony. This is war, now it's on... as if they have just been dabbling unseriously for the last almost 3 years.

His investments in manipulative online campaigns have paid off on both ends. Amazing they both somehow see him in a heroic fight against whatever it is they dislike in America.

Any day now, they will get serious and the gloves will come off... and Ukraine will rue the day!!!!
