Link or explain in detail any single conversation you have had with any informed adult human who said we would win a nuclear war.

You use hyperbole so much that it becomes an outright lie. No one believes that you even believe that you were involved in such a conversation.

It never happened

Ukrainian intelligence drones attack oil refinery and 3 Russian military airfields

VALENTYNA ROMANENKO — Saturday, 27 July 2024, 14:05

Drones of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence attacked military airfields and an oil refinery in Russia on the night of 26-27 July and the morning of 27 July.

Source: Ukrainska Pravda sources in Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU)

Details: The Engels airfield in Saratov Oblast, the Dyagilevo airfield in Ryazan Oblast and the Olenya military airfield in Murmansk Oblast were attacked. Additionally, as a result of kamikaze drone attacks, an oil refinery in Ryazan was struck.

Eyewitnesses said on Russian social media that the first explosions at the Dyagilevo military airfield occurred around 06:00 local time. Social media posts indicate that at least three explosions were heard. Additionally, local users are sharing videos of drones flying towards the airfield, followed by an image of a column of black smoke rising above the military facility.

A source said the airfield hosts aircraft such as the Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL, and Il-78, and it also houses an aircraft repair plant.

Explosions at the Engels airfield, where Russian strategic aircraft are based, occurred around 08:00. Local sources report that Russian air defence forces unsuccessfully attempted to shoot down the drones, but then there were distinct explosions from the strikes.

Early reports indicate damage to a TU-22M3 long-range missile-carrying bomber as a result of the strike of aircraft-type UAVs on the Olenya airfield in Murmansk Oblast.

I said it a page ago. We would win a nuclear war with Russia. Decisively and quickly. That's why Putin would never even actually think about starting such a war. Even with his absurdly inflated view of the Russian military, he still knows this to be true.

We would shoot down almost all Russian missiles and planes, and they would struggle to intercept much at all of our weaponry.

Biden (in reality, Sullivan) has been incredibly stupid to prevent us from giving Ukraine the aid they need to win. Holding back out of fear that Putin would start a nuclear war was and is the epitome of self-defeat.

Also on the aviation front today, the Russian MoD confirmed that they lost an Su-34 due to mechanical failure (not anywhere near the front line).

how did I know you would go to this easy fricking cop out

We would annihilate Russia in any conventional war. It would be over in less than 24 hours. Possibly less than 12. The fact that they produce more artillery shells and armored vehicles would have no impact

Su-34 is one of Russian aviation’s biggest failures in some time. It is an awful aircraft. Another quickly seems like it’s going to ge the Su-57 which really isn’t even a stealth air aircraft with how much heat the engines give off and no real baffling of it compared to other stealth aircraft.

I’m not a “Putin apologist” in any sense. I think Putin is a disgusting murderer.

I think this war is stupid and want it to end. That is the difference between myself and others on this board.

Hopefully Trump will bring peace by early next year.

The glee some of you have for actually getting the US involved in this war is beyond alarming.

We have nothing to gain from putting American troops over there. And Russia is not a real threat to the United States

But Russia is a threat to their NATO neighbors. And that is why we are involved over there. Ukraine is doing the heavy lifting anyway.

Wait you think people in this thread want the war to continue?

I think there are those on this thread that Ukraine to have leverage in whatever settlement is reached, but no one wants this war to not end. That's an absurdly stupid take

Ukraine and Russia have to sit down and be realistic but Crimea is going to be the big issue. Ukraine wants it back and Russia isn’t giving it up. I believe Ukraine would play ball in the Donbas but they want Crimea. I don’t know how that ever happens. Maybe they divide Crimea up in half who knows? The level of killing eventually has to end though. I fear that won’t happen until Ukraine can hit them hard in the mouth one more time on the ground somewhere on the line. Right now Putin feels he holds all
the cards even though his army is being ground down to unsustainable levels for the little ground they actually take. Ukraine has a big self propelled howitzer force and now they have plenty of shells to fire them so I don’t see Russia making any huge advances.

It's the politard point of view. I think their minds were polluted by fake libertarian Ron Paul who has the "everything the USA does is evil for the world" idea. Then again, Paul's mind was polluted by Red Diaper Baby Murray Rothbard.

It is stupid. It was all because Putin wanted more. He knew the US and others had made promises to Ukraine. He kept pushing and finally the West grew some balls and said enough is enough.

Now he has no easy escape and he can’t quit. It is stupid and it shows how stupid men act for power.

I've heard that the Russian airframes don't age well and have a relatively short life cycle. A flood of F16's could make that a lot worse.

Not at all, the river of earmark payola to his congressional district was massive and carefully worded so that companies got money for their interior infrastructure. Not to mention VA clinic to a remote area of the district without any nearby veterans but administration contract given to his campaign manager.

The only people want to prolong the war are Jake Sullivan and, by extension, Joe Biden.

The Biden administration's strategy is to give Ukraine just enough aid to allow them to maintain a credible defense, until such time as Russia runs out of money and/or weapons, whereupon Russia will be ready to discuss a reasonable peace.

I don't think that anyone in here agrees with that strategy (although I acknowledge that it's possible that it might work). Most of us agree with Mike Johnson and other GOP leaders who want us to give Ukraine the equipment they need to win, and for us to allow Ukraine to use those weapons as they see fit. Allowing Ukraine to use US weapons to strike inside Russia would strengthen Ukraine's hand and shorten the war.

We've had a few independent Russian voices during this war: Girkin/Strelkov and Murz come to mind.

But another one was the admin of the Grey Zone Telegram channel, the quasi-official channel of the Wagner Group. It was incredibly useful, for example, to hear Prigozhin utterly demolish Putin's arguments for the war.

But in Mali, Tuareg rebels just wiped out a Wagner detachment. If you want to see photos of the Russian corpses, they aren't hard to find. And it's believed that the Grey Zone admin guy was among the dead.
