I'm a little worried about JD Vance TBH but giving the benefit of the doubt more than the great NJF is because I trust DJT, DJT2, Tuck and Elon lobbying for James David so bigly.

Love that some of yall are into NJF now, his reaction to the Sikh lady's blasphemous prayer is the funniest thing I've seen in weeks

You posting and praising a video of Nick Fuentes shows how much of a trash human being you are.

Surely you’re not acting like the current conflict is on the same scale as what was going on during the Trump admin

No, but if it was Trump may have provided more weapons and ammo to Ukraine than he did and Putin knew that.

He also never actively tried to get Russia to leave Crimea. Why would he now?

I don’t think he would.

I'll give you 'maybe'. Theres a ton of things he 'might' do, or 'might' have done.

I think (hope) we can all agree the prospect of US assistance continuing is at the very least worse under Trump than it is Biden, regardless of whatever the ultimate result ends up being. He says a lot of things and what he actually ends up doing doesn't always align with that.

And exactly why Trump SHOULD continue to talk in generalities. You should never lay your cards on the table until it’s becesssry.

I submit that Putin waited until Trump was out of office before he tried to completely take Ukraine because he didn’t know how far Trump would go to oppose him. When Biden win he guessed Biden, like Obama would do nothing.

So what exactly does Russia want that is unacceptable to Trump if he is telling the truth?

Everyone knows the sticking points.

The sticking points are likely total demilitarization and the government being ousted.

You answered your own questions.

quote:

I don't think either of those things are hardline expectations Russia HAS to come away with.

Russia has refused to change those positions when Turkey, Israel, China, and the UN offered to mediate peace talks. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. So why do you think those hardline expectations will change when President elect Trump attempts to mediate peace talks (assuming the Biden administration doesn’t try to use the Logan Act against Trump if he dabbles in foreign policy before the inauguration)?

According to my Russian friends, if Putin stops short of getting everything east of the Dnieper River and Zelensky or another pro-western leader stays in power in Ukraine then Putin is in trouble at home. It’s hard to claim victory if Putin can’t show that he’s denazified Ukraine. Of course, I have caught my Russian friends telling me what I want to hear and not what they actually believe before so I take what they tell me with a dump truck of salt.

Multiple sauce(s) have confirmed that it was Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that was Putin’s deciding factor.

Also just to stir the pot. Did y’all notice that Trump and Vance were wearing blue and yellow ties last night. Coincidence or subtle message to Russia?

That is true. Slavs tell you what they want you to hear, which is not what they believe.

lol. I did notice that and had a similar thought of here we go.

It really is easy to spin up quasi credible theories on nothing. Everyone is a few degrees of separation from everyone else. Give me whatever narrative you want and I can connect enough dots to give it plausible legs.

Throwback to when we wiped a couple hundred Russian mercs off the face of the earth under Trump in his first term.

They are just letting cargo-pants know that they know that he was behind the attempt.
