I watched a video today from the Kyiv Post that had Hodges on it. In the responses one person posted the following:
"I am voting against Trump but I am very disappointed in how Biden has handled Ukraine." Then he went on about the weakness and/or indecisiveness of Biden and his minimum escalation policy.
Another soy responded to him:
"Don't blame Joe. It's Jill Biden's and Jake Sullivan's fault"
So they basically admitted what some of us have known for 3.5 years that Joe isn't running anything. He is brain dead. His whole administration is nothing but a royal cluster frick. But the idiots are going to vote for him anyways. But they are stuck with him and even if they purge him, they are then saddled with Cackling Kamala (aka: Willie Brown's ho)
And now old Joe has Covid.
That pretty well sums up the Biden Boys.

Ukraine reveals final number of men who updated mobilization data
by The Kyiv Independent news desk July 17, 2024 7:47 PM
From May 18 to July 16, 4,690,496 military-aged men updated their registration data by the July 17 deadline, the country's Defense Ministry has announced.
Ukraine has made steps to update the legal framework around conscription to ramp up mobilization this year. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a new law on mobilization on April 16.
According to the law, all military-aged men, with some exceptions, had to update their military documents within 60 days from May 18 at public service centers and enlistment offices, or via the online application Rezerv+.
The deadline for updating data expired on July 17, 2024.
"According to the results of the update, 4,690,496 servicemen have performed their duty," Ukraine's defense ministry said in a post on Facebook.

Russia has refused to change those positions when Turkey, Israel, China, and the UN offered to mediate peace talks. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. So why do you think those hardline expectations will change when President elect Trump attempts to mediate peace talks (assuming the Biden administration doesn’t try to use the Logan Act against Trump if he dabbles in foreign policy before the inauguration)?
In the drafts Russia and Ukraine were sending back and forth, Ukraine conceded some military scaleback. The drafts being sent back and forth imply both sides agreed in principal on something at least close to what was on the draft. So like you said, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
I don't recall anything about Zelensky's status being negotiated, but I seriously doubt that would stop Putin from taking the escape rope if its thrown down to him.

Joevid-19 also had Adam Schiff publicly ask him to drop out of the race, as well as Schumer and others talking to him personally about it. Seems inevitable.

Key Takeaways:
Russian state news outlets editorialized comments by Russian Security Council Deputy Chairperson Dmitry Medvedev and claimed that he said that the Ukrainian state will no longer exist by 2034, likely to support the Kremlin's efforts to prepare the Russian public for a long war in Ukraine while promising that Russia will complete its objective to destroy Ukrainian statehood within a decade.
Russian officials continue to seize on diplomatic meetings with European states to create the impression that Russia is normalizing its relations with the West and claim that there is limited Western support for Russia.
Russia and India continue to strengthen their bilateral relationship amid reports of ongoing Russian weapons exports to India.
Russia and Ukraine exchanged 95 prisoners of war (POWs) each in a one-to-one POW exchange on July 17.
Kremlin officials continue attempts to curry favor with Russian ultranationalists by appealing to anti-migrant animus despite such appeals generating tensions with the Russian government’s efforts to execute the Kremlin's wider migration policy.
Ukrainian forces regained positions south of Toretsk, and Russian forces recently advanced north of Kharkiv City and near Kupyansk, Svatove, Avdiivka, and Vuhledar.
Russia's crypto-mobilization campaign continues to generate increasing financial costs for the Russian government.

Denazification means the removal of the Zelensky government. It remains a requirement for Russia to begin peace talks.

I submit that Putin waited until Trump was out of office before he tried to completely take Ukraine because he didn’t know how far Trump would go to oppose him. When Biden win he guessed Biden, like Obama would do nothing.
Or, as a guy I know who specializes in Russian Poli Sci says... Trump was supposed to get re-elected, hobble NATO, and Putin would have no real resistance in taking Ukraine, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania... then focusing on Poland...

Multiple sauce(s) have confirmed that it was Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that was Putin’s deciding factor.
I've missed cringing at your "sauces." - To be clear, I value and enjoy the info, I cringe at you calling them your sauces.
The disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan did puff up Putin's confidence, because he believed the US was in the same position the USSR was in when it evacuated out of Afghanistan, which is one of the decisive moments of his life because he was stuck in KGB headquarters in Dresden as all the Soviet Satellite countries rebelled at once. So he believed the US was defeated... done... and if Biden tried to assist Ukraine there would be a revolution from a War-exhausted public.
But Putin does not understand that the U.S. is not like the U.S.S.R., no matter how much he tries to influence our thinking with cyber operations.
We do not support our government here just out of fear of the military. If confidence in the Russian military is destroyed he will probably be hung in the Kremlin. If confidence in the U.S. military is destroyed, we just vote for someone who reforms the U.S. military, Putin believes his own hype that the U.S. is just as bad as Russia, only hypocritical. It is not.

Pure coincidence.

That's the old Russian Collusion Hoax at work. Trump upped the sanctions on Russia. Trump bombed Russian soldiers and killed hundreds. No other living president has done that. Obama rolled over and let Putin do what he wanted. Biden grudgingly has given Ukraine military and economic aid.

Not at all, I don't believe it and that was the point. You were the one accusing someone else of being a foreign agent, and I pointed out how stupid that was. Now of course you are weaseling/crawfishing out.

NYT: Trump tells Taiwan to Expect a Higher Price for U.S. Defense
Trump also accused Taiwan of sinking the U.S. semiconductor sector, signaling he wants a more transactional approach to shielding the island from China.
Trump thinks International Affairs is a Mafia shakedown racket... that's how you get countries that want to see you put in your place and have no real allies.

Trump upped the sanctions on Russia.
When forced to by Congress passing them with a veto-proof majorities...
ABC News: Timeline of Trump delays on implementing Russian Sanctions
Nearly four weeks after the deadline, the Trump administration has finally taken steps to implement sanctions against Russia’s defense and intelligence sectors that Congress passed with veto-proof majorities in July.
President Donald Trump was essentially forced to sign the legislation over the summer after his administration lobbied for changes to the bill.
While Congress has felt compelled to punish Russia beyond the sanctions President Barack Obama imposed at the end of his term, Trump -- who has called for warmer relations with Russia as a candidate and president -- opposed sanctions that the White House believed would only hurt cooperation with President Vladimir Putin's government.

WAPO: Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador
President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.
The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said.

Obama rolled over and let Putin do what he wanted. Biden grudgingly has given Ukraine military and economic aid.
I'm not going to defend Obama on Ukraine... he just didn't really care about it, placed greater importance on an anti-nuclear Iran deal that he needed Putin's cooperation for and didn't want to screw that up... and when NATO partners pushed he just secretly increased military aid and training to the Ukrainians. Though many here will tell you Obama engineered a coup in Ukraine and placed Poroshenko in charge...
As for Biden, what else could he have done? I've been trying to figure that out. Considering some people scream he's about to cause a nuclear showdown every time he sends Ukraine more screwdrivers and hammers. We gave Ukraine everything they could both use immediately and maintain and keep functioning. Biden is not the one who held up military aid deliveries for 7 months and harmed Ukraine in the process, that was Congressional MAGA Republicans, When I have seen geopolitical expert types asked what more the U.S. and NATO could've done to help Ukraine, the answer is "Take us all the way to Defcon 2, and play nuclear chicken with Putin if he doesn't withdraw. And by the way, Putin really has nothing to lose if he causes the end of the world. His country probably won't be there in 20 years as it is, anyway."

But hey, I see people still insisting that Paul Pelosi was attacked by his gay lover and that Michelle Obama is really some dude named Michael, so I don't think I'm being the nutjob in assessing probability here, comparatively.

No, it hasn't, actually... Bill Barr just decided to say it was disproven, you choose to believe him.
NBC News: "Senate Russia report proves Trump collusion was very real. But do voters care?"
Far from a hoax, as the president so often claimed, the report reveals how the Trump campaign willingly engaged with Russian operatives implementing the influence effort.
