Ooof. Glad they got a last laugh in though!

quote:

Anton Andreev, a Russian soldier from the fifth company of the 1009th regiment, painted a bleak picture of Russia’s offensive in the Ukrainian northern region of Kharkiv. His unit had been decimated, he said, with only 12 out of 100 soldiers still alive as they came under constant Ukrainian fire and drones in Vovchansk, a prime target of Russia’s advances. “They just chop us up. We are sent under machine guns, under drones in daylight, like meat. And commanders just shout ‘forward and forward’,” Andreev said in a video message.

In 2022, only seven NATO members hit the target of 2% of GDP on military spending. This year, it was just announced, twenty of NATO's 32 members will hit the target. The other twelve are still increasing spending and have a plan to get to 2% soon -- except for Canada, which still hasn't put forward any plan.

Overall, though, NATO countries are finally stepping up to their obligations.

Because the ranter is dismissive of the idea that Biden has any decision-making capacity. The Clusterfricker supposes that the real head of state is instead "Barack Obama and his witches’ coven"

If Trump wins the election, I will gladly bet you that we won't be out of NATO by this time next year. Ban Bet?

I doubt the US will leave. I said hopefully.

Also, the only reason these nations are increasing spending is because Trump told them to. They are getting nervous with the election looming. Thank you President Trump

No. They are seeing an aggressive Russia invading countries in Europe and threatening to invade others. It is in their self-interest to increase their defense spending, individually and collectively. This isn't driven by fear of Trump. Your premise is insane.

Actually, it was just announced that 23 NATO members will hit the target this year, not 20.

I'm puzzled why anyone thinks that President Trump would try to pull us out of NATO. Trump's irritation with NATO was that European nations weren't meeting their obligations and paying their share, and that's no longer the case.

Hardcore Trumpers are just as bad as hardcore leftists.

Facts.

Literally the same people.

The left sides with terrorists. The right sides with imperalist Russia. Who almost nuked us in the 60s. Surreal where we are in 2024.

Putin is helping Trump get European NATO back where it is supposed to be.

According to Reuters, Ukraine may default on international bonds at the end of summer. Under the 2022 agreement, the Kyiv regime received a full deferral of payments, but it expires on August 1, and creditors have refused to restructure the $20 billion debt.

The probability of such an outcome of the event, although not maximum, is quite real. Another thing is that even a default will not mean the collapse of the economy of Ukraine, which is already completely dependent on foreign aid. The collective West does not plan to stop it yet, as evidenced by the news about new tranches of financial aid.

?? However, the price of such support will obviously be demands to the Kyiv regime to reduce social expenditures and increase mobilization beyond the recent sensational law. After all, Ukraine will be able to pay off its huge debts only by war to the last Ukrainian in order to weaken Russia as much as possible.

So even if now the Kyiv regime manages to reach an agreement with creditors and avoid default, nothing good awaits it.
