The Russian permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, delivered a lengthy account of the alleged biological weapons plot, and said the birds, bats and insects supposedly intended to spread disease would cross Ukraine’s western border.

^ Do the pro-Putin types remember this? I hear about the Ghost of Kiev stuff from time to time, but that wasn't official from the Ukrainian government.

Nazi Bio Birds came from the actual Russian government.

The Netherlands have placed an order for 9 brand new Czech DITA self propelled howitzers to give to Ukraine. These look like they may give the Archer and CAESAR a run for best wheeled howitzer in the world. Completely automated loading and targeting systems and an armored and air conditioned cab that also has a filtration system in it for chemical warfare i presume which means the crew doesn’t need to leave the cab at all to fire. This war has proven one thing above all else. Mobility is life on the modern battlefield.

Do you remember when some Russian lawmakers said part of the reason the Russians weren't doing as well as intended was biolab super soldiers

quote:

Two Russian lawmakers this week pushed the absurd conspiracy theory that Ukrainians were being turned into "cruel and deadly monsters" in the country's bio labs.

The two politicians — Konstantin Kosachev, the deputy speaker of Russia's Federation Council, and Irina Yarovaya, deputy chair of the State Duma — are currently spearheading an investigation into the alleged laboratories in Ukraine, per Russian news outlet Kommersant.

This claim appeared to have been taken one step further by the Russian politicians this week, who said they had tested the blood of captured Ukrainian soldiers and found what they claimed was evidence of experiments "for military purposes," per Kommersant.

There is no evidence of Ukraine deploying genetically modified super soldiers.

Kosachev, for one, claimed without substantiation that there were "extremely dangerous diseases" and "substances" found in the soldiers' blood, per the outlet.

Kommersant also reported on Yarovaya's comments to reporters in which she claimed without evidence that "performance-enhancing drugs" were being given to Ukrainian soldiers to "completely neutralize the last traces of human consciousness" and turn them into "cruel and deadly monsters."

No. They also don’t remember the Russians denying the invasion at UNSC meeting after Putin’s speech had aired and the Ukrainian ambassador was literally holding up his phone live streaming it while the Russian was speaking.

CNN:

Pentagon considering tapping last source of Ukraine military funding as Congress stalls on additional aid

quote:

CNN

The Pentagon is weighing whether to tap into the last remaining source of funding it has for military aid to support Ukraine’s war effort against Russia even without guarantees that those funds will be replenished by Congress, multiple defense officials told CNN.

The Defense Department still has around $4 billion in presidential drawdown authority funds available for Ukraine, which allows the Pentagon to draw from its own stockpiles to send military equipment to Kyiv.

But the Pentagon had previously been reluctant to spend any of that remaining money without assurances it would be reimbursed by Congress through the administration’s $60 billion supplemental funding request, because taking from DoD stockpiles with no plan to replenish that equipment could impact US military readiness.

But with Ukraine growing increasingly desperate for US military aid and Republican leadership in the House refusing to hold a vote on providing more funding, senior defense officials are discussing whether there is any financial cushion internally that would allow the department to spend at least part of that remaining $4 billion to help Ukraine fight Russia.

Reminder that Biden could have done this two months ago. It's understandable why the DoD might want replacement funds to buy new weapons, but the Pentagon has a huge budget and always had the ability to move a billion or two around.

Another HIMARS strike on Russians concentrating troops for ceremonies, this time in Olenivka, Donetsk. Russians really are fricking idiots. This time it’s the 155th Brigade. 19 dead, 12 wounded. The brigade’s commander, a colonel was one of the wounded while his top 3 officers including his deputy commander, a Lt. Colonel, a major and a captain were among the dead. Somewhere there’s a Russian lieutenant absolutely shitting himself because all of a sudden he’s in command.

With a university account you can get imagery so good you can see something as small as a pencil sitting on the dash of a car. Imagine what the military has

The whole point is that we destabilized Ukraine, for very selfish reasons, and caused all the pain and suffering experienced by everyone involved. Meanwhile, US politicians continue to get wealthier and more powerful. I, personally, witnessed the destabilization and eventual conversion to puppet states of multiple nations over the years. It never ends well for the citizens of said countries. It always enriched our politicians, however. Ukraine is no different. Those of you that swallow the MSM propaganda hook, line, and sinker will never wake up, so I’ll save my breath.

I experienced the exact opposite, twice.

I do not profess to be an expert on Ukraine history, but I know enough to say Ukraine has never been very stable.

For most of its recent history Ukraine was dominated by foreigners. They were caught between warring factions in both world wars and also in the Communist revolutions.

In the overall scheme of things Russia way more than the US has caused turmoil, death and suffering in Ukraine.

Where Putin, to his credit, stepped on the oligarchs and brought some order to Russia,

He got them in line, more or less, by forcing them to pay his tax and then letting them do what they liked. On any given Sunday Putin has Arnault/Bezos/Musk money. He did this all on a yearly salary that is less than I make in two months and oddly I am still working on my first billion and will die trying without ever getting close. Using Putin as a positive example in a post about corruption is downright silly, the man is the Michael Jordon of corruption resulting in men like Bernie Madoff jerking off to him before going to bed.

Ukraine’s problems are internal. They’ve been run by gangsters and kleptocrats since independence.

The mental gymnastics here are pretty much beyond belief.

Russia is run by the chief gangster and kleptocrat of them all. The guys who work FOR the people who work FOR Putin are gangsters and kleptocrats. He perfected it.

Ukraine is run by a comedian and actor who played the president in a TV drama and then thought it would be funny to actually run for president. This is after he got famous for playing the piano with his dick.

And you are saying that Ukraine is run by professional thieves and Russia has its shite together?

Bruh.

Why not both?

Yes, both countries are ranked high in corruption.

But only one had repeatedly attacked its neighbors. Only one has actively opposed the US whenever they could. Only one had had their military kill Americans. Only one has hundreds of nukes pointed at us.

So which one do you want to win this war?

Why is it incumbent upon the USA to get involved? They're both pieces of shite. This is like Bugs Moran and Al Capone fighting for turf in Chicago. I hope they destroy one another.

If Western Europe is that concerned, let them step up to the plate. Those parasites have been sponging off of us for long enough.

And there you go grandstanding

What I want to happen is irrelevant to the reality that Russia will win. The extent of which, the timing, and the cost (both in lives and resources) are what is up in the air at this point.

I don't think Ukraine gets a deal even as good as they were offered in early 2022 whenever the war does end either. And that wasn't even a great one, or even a good one according to some. The US appetite for this conflict is waning. A 2nd Trump term looms.

The bots can't answer this. Its in Western Europe's back yard and they aren't even worried about it enough to talk with their checkbooks.

They also can't explain the fact that if Ukraine were really all that important or if Putin were really intent on mass conquest we would already have boots on the ground.

If you've got to wait until after the paperwork on an alliance is filed to help a country with direct military assistance, they aren't worth helping in the first place. Ukraine isn't worth helping.

I've been assured that the fall of Ukraine spells doom for America. When I point out (repeatedly) that Ukraine was part of the USSR for 75 years without it affecting the US - in fact, we achieved unprecedented levels of prosperity - all I get (repeatedly) are crickets.
