At there current Rate of advance we could see Wagner on the outskirts of Moscow within 24 hours.
Wagner column is about 4 hours away from moscow.

That’s the story they’re running with on the PB. Putin bros down bad today.

Once in a lifetime theater.

One of the theories that all this was a farce/move by Putin to try and get Ukraine to attack potential Russian weak points so that they can destroy the Ukrainians.

I said about 30 pages back that at the very least this removes Wagner from the chessboard of the war. That’s 25k of Russias best troops out of the battle.
Ukraines military leaders have to be dancing on their desks at the moment.
I would think that now is the time to strike, send the free Russia corps back into belogord, start pushing in the south, and deliver that hammer blow they have been preparing.
Saying that makes me wonder if Ukraine can move their timelines up fast enough to to take advantage?

Wagner war game is to reach Moscow as fast as possible "a la Tripoli" and decapitate Putin's regime before Shoigu and Putin have time to re-organize themselves. To prepare Moscow defense special units have been deployed to the 3 southern bridges leading to Moscow. Reportedly, Russians are even prepared to blow them off. Civilian traffic is stopped. Governmental planes usually used by Putin have taken off with unknown destinations. Medvedev has reportedly left Moscow for St- Petersburg

evidently prig is pissed shoigu wouldn’t debate him on joe rogan

I would have thought that a squadron of Frogfoots would have at least attempted to hit the column. I mean they are literally marching on Moscow. The lack of tactical air support in UK was understandable with established air defense networks, but on the M-4 to Moscow?

so is this a coup or a hissy fit by wagner group to prove a point?

Another theory from the Poliboard:
quote:
Wagner’s boss is still pro-Putin. He’s cleaning out the Russian military swamp at Putin’s behest. Putin just laying low for the time being.

I’m no strategist, but I would let things escalate in Russia, let them pull more troops off the front. Then make a move, the soldiers left behind are sure to surrender. Why would they fight? Their government may not be there the next day.

Let’s assume for the sake of discussion that Prig is attempting a coup and he is successful in short order. Then what? Does he take over? Put a puppet in place? Does Russia have an election (sham or otherwise)? Is this likely to end the conflict in Ukraine or just shift the Russian tactics?
I just haven’t been following closely enough to have any clue.

Judging by history, it’ll be just replacing one murderous thug with another.
If Prig is successful, maybe he’ll make a grand gesture of leaving Ukraine, and then go back to brutalizing the Russian people, as all Russian leaders do.
