might be a mistake. russians are much better at bombing civilian houses than tanks

Wow. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, they already destroyed 8 Leopard tanks and 3 AMX-10s. Looks like the Ukrainian offensive is a failure.

Wow...does anyone believe this?

Absolutely. It makes total sense that they’d be 100% effective against a NATO backed national military but struggling against a backyardigan rebel group within their own borders

You’d think the Russians would be eager to show video, or at least photos, of these knocked out Western vehicles. It would be a propaganda boon for them. And Russia, if nothing else, is well versed in the employment of propaganda.
So where is it?

About as much as I believe that video about the moving house, though that at least did give me a bit of nostalgia for The Goodies, a 1970's British comedy trio.

Also admittedly I kinda like the song from the YouTube video.
Edit: Clarity

Russia Preparing Many Fakes About Ukraine's Counteroffensive - AFU Strategic Communications Center
The Russians are intensifying informational and psychological operations about the Ukrainian counteroffensive, for this they have already prepared fake photos and videos of downed equipment, killed and captured. This is reported by the Strategic Communications Center (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Attention! The StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warns. The Russian occupying forces are intensifying their informational and psychological operations. On Russian Telegram channels and social networks, it is planned to intensify the influx of dissemination of unreliable information about the combat operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And also of their own formations," the message reads.
It is noted that in order to demoralize Ukrainians and mislead the community (including their own population), Russian propagandists will spread false information about the counteroffensive, its directions, and the losses of the Ukrainian army. Even if there is no counteroffensive.
"For this, old videos and photos have been prepared, which show damaged equipment, killed and captured. As well as other fake materials," StratCom said.

?
This is very obviously the same structure. Colours are easily changed via editing or from ambient lighting.
That such a similar structure would show up being used by the UAF, as hilarious as it would be, is highly improbable.

Hawkei armoured cars bound for Ukraine war in Australian support deal
Hawkei armoured cars bound for Ukraine war in Australian support deal
quote:
Australia is set to give Ukraine the missile-capable, four-wheel-drive armoured cars that it has been requesting for months – the Hawkei – as the centrepiece of a forthcoming support package.
Although a formal commitment has yet to be sealed, there has been serious progress informally and Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov told the Herald and The Age the vehicles were number one on his list of “demands” from Australia.
quote:
He described the Australian-made vehicles as “very, very famous armed vehicles with air defence systems” in an interview in Singapore after meeting his Australian counterpart, Richard Marles, at the weekend.
The Hawkei is a seven-tonne armoured car designed to be fitted with the same Norwegian-American air defence system that protects the White House.
Marles declined to comment specifically on the Hawkei but said the Ukrainians “have given us a list; we had a pretty detailed conversation”. The new support package would be unveiled “soon”, he said.
The announcement is expected by the time Prime Minister Anthony Albanese travels to a NATO summit in Lithuania next month.
People with knowledge of the talks but not authorised to speak publicly said an understanding had been reached but the deal was yet to be processed through Canberra’s formal systems.
quote:
Australia’s army has 1100 Hawkeis, recently delivered or in the process of being delivered. Some already are deployed in South Australia and trialling the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAM), said retired Australian Army major general Mick Ryan.
“The NASAM comes with a whole suite of very sophisticated sensors and missiles,” Ryan said. “It’s not just a missile system – it has a pretty powerful radar that over 100 kilometres could be quite useful.”
The Australian Army has raised serial objections to supplying the Hawkei. It first said its brakes were faulty. Next it said that so many spare parts would need to be supplied to Ukraine that the whole fleet would be unusable.
quote:
The Ukrainian Defence Ministry has said that it does not care about any braking problems.
Ryan said of the situation: “I think it’s more Canberra risk aversion – Defence doesn’t want to be embarrassed if there’s a problem with the brakes. The Hawkei’s already in use in Adelaide. If it’s good enough for the Australians it’d be good enough for the Ukrainians.”

Russia has been an exposed as lethargic and immobile. I mean we knew this but not to the extent that they are. They are also very dependent on rail for mass movement of reinforcements or logistical support. They may be better able to defend than attack but Ukraine can basically hit where they aren’t. It’s still going to be a slog because of Russian numbers.
Russia will keep throwing bodies at this because a good number of Russians still think Ukraine in NATO is an existential crisis. It’s just in their DNA. They dumped communism but NATO is still see as the enemy. I still hope a desperate Putin doesn’t do something stupid. He’s culled out anyone who isn’t a sycophant yes man.

As our most venerated Virginian veteran, black George Washington, once said, “the truth is in ya face when ya hear the British cannons go boom.”
They can do what they want in the information space, but it’s hard to obfuscate storm shadows landing in Crimea.

What is wild about their claim is that it’s not even remotely believable. There is no chance they destroyed 28 tanks and 100+ armored vehicles in one day on one front. If they said they destroyed 3 tanks and a dozen vehicles I’d maybe believe it.
Also, the lack of videos of burning Leopards is very telling. There is nothing Russia would love more than to show burning western equipment.

I’m not saying that Russia is telling the truth because they’re probably not, but those numbers aren’t unrealistic.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose Wagner mercenaries were credited with seizing Bakhmut after months of battle, had harsh words for Russian regular troops assigned to hold the area. He said a nearby settlement had fallen and troops were abandoning their posts.
Pro-Russia military blogger Semen Pegov, known as WarGonzo, wrote that "news from the frontline ... is getting more alarming every hour." Pegov added that "the Armed Forces of Ukraine, unlike yesterday, are operating much more harmoniously and organized."
Alexander Khodakovsky, deputy head of the Russian national guard in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, warned that "the enemy managed to put us in a difficult position."
Take that commie loving bastards!! (Lol)

I think an offensive on a grand scale is going to involve a lot of losses. If they send 300 tanks into battle and lose 1/3 that shouldn’t be terribly surprising. It would be more surprising if they commit 300 tanks to battle and only lose 30.
I say this based on the losses in WW2 in Europe, which featured a conscript army fighting a peer.
