OSNIT would be all over this, but the accounts I follow haven't posted anything like this.

You’re really pathetic aren’t you? Why would Ukraine put Leopards in Odesa when so many of the drone and missile attacks have come from Crimea? Also I’m guessing by your logic they just shut the rail line down and stopped the train full of tanks right there on the tracks and called it a day. You’re reaching man. Reaching bad.

The warehouse that Russia bragged about blowing up that was supposedly full of NATO equipment was actually a Red Cross warehouse full of humanitarian aid.

I saw some similar claims but they were associated with a previous post above them which had pictures of men in "war crimes prosecutor" jackets which looked too staged to me, plus the background in them looks to be far too open to be the area the missile is meant to have hit.

Do you have a link? That looks to be more tangible.

Ukrainian Red Cross English Twitter

quote:

The Ukrainian Red Cross warehouse with humanitarian aid in Odesa has been destroyed and a mobile hospital in Mykolaiv damaged due to a missile strike.

The staff and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross were not injured.

quote:

On May 8, a 1,000-square-meter warehouse of the Ukrainian Red Cross Odesa Regional Organization was destroyed by a missile strike on the city of Odesa. The fire entirely destroyed the humanitarian aid stored in the warehouse.

Notice that the Red Cross, with its neutrality, doesn't even blame Russia for the attack. It was just "a missile."

One of my friends texted me about this earlier in the morning although he said to be wary since it was primarily in Russian social media.

That's some secretive social media. There's no discussion of anything like this that I've seen. Do you have a link to some mention of this other than a text?

I couldn’t find it either.

This is what my friend sent me. He definitely isn’t making it up, but I think he may have read it from a non reliable account

A reply to a Ukrainian poster. Kinda interesting in that it gave a precise location (30km outside Bakhmut) that was plausible, the fact that they specified he was in the 4th car (which would be about right), and the timing after his very public comments. They attributed it to Ukrainian SOF but it could just as easily have been falling out a window.

Who knows at this point?

If it’s true and he was in a vehicle convoy that would eliminate a HIMARS strike so it would either have to be Ukrainian artillery with the shot of a lifetime or SOF. 30 km outside of Bakhmut would also be reaching the limits of conventional artillery range and I can’t see Putin calling for his head simply because he knows he’s fricked without Wagner’s forces. I would put the chance of it being real at less than 1% but if it were true it would be one hell of a May 9th gift to Vlad.

If it happened, and that's a big "if", my money would be that it is a case of Russian Flu, and not Ukraine forces.

That or they could have run over one of their own land mines. You can never discount the stupidity of Russians. Just when you think they couldn’t be worse they go and outdo themselves.

The boys in green hats spent years training those guys. It must have been nice working with indigs who were actually motivated for a change.

Yeah, that's the kind of rumor that wouldn't last an hour before getting confirmed.

At least 4 additional Russian Tu-95MS Strategic Bombers have now appeared near their “Launch Zones” over the Caspian Region; the Bombers seems to be Operating in a “Radio Silence Mode” again as they have the for the last few Missions.

So we currently have 8 Tu-95MS Strategic Bombers, 1 Tu-22M3 Heavy Bomber, and 4 Guided-Missile Frigates that are all most likely Armed with 3M54-1 “Kalibr” Cruise Missiles and Kh-22 Anti-Ship Missiles alongside a few Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” Hypersonic Missiles.

It is likely going to be a Long Night once again…

Meanwhile Russian crude has now dropped $5 per barrel thus after discounts it is losing $10 per barrel. To make matters worse, the crude oil sold is being refined and exported to Europe to replace Russia's own value added refined products exports.

Russia is winning? BWAHAHAHA

16 minutes of excerpts from Solovyov's war propaganda movie. This is somber Solovyoz contemplating the assassination attempt on his life and the victimhood of Russia. I like whackodo Solovyov better but he explains how he died and became another person at the beginning of the special military operation so it has its dry humor.

Thomas Theiner Thread

Interesting thread on NATO estimates for defensive requirements in personnel and equipment to defend against an offensive.

Looks like just by the math, Ukrainian offensive should see significant success assuming they have the required equipment.
