Crazy.

Also, ftr, DO NOT SEARCH “BTM” on Twitter trying to find that equipment to remind yourself what it looks like. For the love of God make sure to include the “-3” for “BTM-3”.

Oh, ok so we’re sponsoring an endless war we know Ukraine can not win. And they refuse to go to the negotiating table. And they have no idea how this war is going to end. But hey Ukrainians get to dictate the terms for years if this is what it takes while we send lovely gifts from Boeing and Raytheon and just hope that Putin doesn’t lose his shite over it.

Yeah that sounds dope.

Appreciate the link to the article. This portion should resonate around here:

quote:

“This will remind a lot of U.N. members that Ukraine is the victim in this war,” said Richard Gowan, a U.N. expert at the International Crisis Group. “That has, to some extent, got lost in recent U.N. debates, with a lot of U.N. members calling for peace in rather vague terms.

We are financially supporting a European country that was invaded by Russia, without risking American lives, and is hollowing out the military of the greatest threat to world stability we face. So yeah, as long as Russia keeps saying they are keeping Crimea and the four other regions of Ukraine, Russia can keep getting their arse kicked.

This is partly true as Russia is sending t-72 tanks of the Belarus military to the southern front for Russians. Looks like they are running low on serviceable tanks in storage. I’m sure they have loads of T-55, T-62 and T-64 tanks in storage but how many of those are in battle ready condition? 20% maybe? Not a good sign when you’re borrowing from Belarus and North Korea.

To me this is the most important part of this article.

quote:

Privately, U.S. officials say neither Russia nor Ukraine is capable of winning the war outright

Does this mean Ukraine is running out of combat power? That doesn’t seem to be the case with the recent offensives; however, are the tactical pauses a sign of this?

1st, what is the definition of a "win"

1) Russia complete taking over Ukraine or Ukraine completely taking over Russia? Neither of these will happen at this point.

2) Ukraine pushing Russia back to the Feb 2022 borders? this could happen

3) eventually on or both sides having enough and going to the negotiating table? This will eventually happen. There is a limit that each side can take. the "peace" may only be short term but it is in effect an "end"

but there is no "win" for either side because there is no "end" unless one side has an unconditional surrender, which will not happen.

otherwise there are varying degrees of "win" in terms of land taken back or land kept.

I hesitate to respond to you but your constant "warmonger" accusations have grown tiresome. I can only speak for myself in saying I am in no way a warmonger, but if war does come, I believe in carrying it to its conclusion and responding with overwhelming force.

If the US were invaded by another country, and the US refused to negotiate or give away any of our territory, would you be calling us warmongers? I don't blame the Ukrainians one bit for not wanting to "negotiate" or cede any of their sovereign territory. Now if we are talking about "marching to Moscow", then that is a whole different story.

I've traveled to Russia and still have friends there. I feel terrible for the lives that are being lost, on both sides. But the only way to respond to this bully and to prevent this from happening again is to exact a high a price from them. Russia and Putin started this and could end it whenever they wanted to.

I don’t think so. The pauses seem to be intentional so that battle lines can be firmed up before further advancement.

Even though the UAF are under western guidance, they are still novices in a protracted war, and it’s still their personnel who are on the front lines.

I feel sure that the Ukes don’t want to risk giving up gained ground by spreading themselves too thin, as the Russians certainly did.

You are saying the war is endless, the article doesn’t say that.

And you know the article says Russia can not win, and as I said previously; that would be good news.

Thxs for bringing us good news.

As we all know, one lane of the Kerch road bridge is open for cars, but trucks now have to use the ferry.

quote:

According to Russian-appointed head of Crimea, waiting at the ferry crossing in Crimea takes about 3-4 days. And there are about 900 trucks in line at the moment.

Video at LINK if you want to see the line.

I don’t blame the Ukrainians for fighting, I would as well if I were Ukrainian. The thing is we’re the one financing this to our own detriment. The only solution we are providing is more cash and weapons and nothing else. The fact is y’all are Russia is not going to lose this war and we need to start negotiating, but y’all think of this as cowardice. We’re the ones paying the bill, so we get to dictate the terms and all we’re doing is enabling this international form of a heroin addiction.

They can most certainly win. Russia can’t. They have most of the world against them. They’re losing far more that the war in Ukraine.

There’s no reason for them to negotiate. Russia has nothing to give.

Damn right. They didn’t attack Russia and now they have the Orcs in retreat. Plus, they have the backing of the West. Yes, Ukraine gets to dictate the terms and there really is only one - Russia gets the hell out of Ukraine.

There is nothing in that post even approaching warmongering. Don’t use words you don’t understand
