I think we’re sending M270s, with M26s and M31s.

The Ukrainians are just better soldiers plain and simple. They are clearly outnumbered and outgunned and have ground down the supposed 2nd best military on earth to where they are breaking out the antiques out of storage and training people off the street who obviously aren’t smart at all in the first place and only giving them 30 days of training before sending them off to be cannon fodder. They should just skip the training all they are good for are to fill coffins with. The Russians still stuck on their Stalinist WW2 tactics. Russian soldiers are not allowed to think for themselves. Russia is and has always been a paper tiger. They look big but behind the curtain everything is rusting and just shite. If the Russian people weren’t robots that believe everything the government tells them they should revolt and overthrow Putin.
Duly noted.
But I guess some of this could be used to counter the benevolent Russian dictator seeks to rid Eastern Europe of modern day NAZIS (for their own good) and not for the natural resources and a monopoly on access to ports on the Black Sea.......

Good observation

We still have a long way to go and we’re watching the ebb and flow of real and traditional warfare in real time really for the first time in most of our lives as it’s being fought.

Poroshenko had all of the legal documents necessary and was part of the official delegation to a NATO meeting in Lithuania. Poroshenko was to have a number of high level meetings with the President of Lithuania. Also scheduled to participate in meetings with the European Peoples Party(largest EU party) in Rotterdam. Stopped due to " technical problems " just as he was delayed from re entering Ukraine before the war. He bravely returned to Ukraine under investigation for alleged treason due to a coal deal he approved from the separatist Donbas region. He was probably as popular or more popular than Zelenskyy when he returned before the impending invasion.
Not to hijack the thread , but some clowns insinuating that Poroshenko is trying to sneak out of the country is absurd. He returned despite being under investigation for treason and defiantly gave nearly daily interviews from the streets of Kyiv despite being nearly surrounded by Russian troops during the Battle of Kyiv. Poroshenko is obviously being targeted by political enemies which should stop during this war.

d We talked about this earlier. The leadership will be cadre who normally train new recruits, which will make any further mobilization very difficult. This looks like a desperation move to try to finish the war before the economy collapses or elements inside or outside the government decide they've had enough.
quote:
Lol, the pro Russian criowd here would tell you it’s a great plan. It isn’t born out of desperation, but was their strategy all along. I think Russian power is starting to break the Ukranians, but it seems to me that if they don’t totally break now; the Russians are in trouble.
Do you really think Ukraine has enough manpower to repel Russia?
This war is only MONTHS old: take a step back and take a sober look at Ukraines forces. They are falling back, falling back, falling back.
You can call Russias strategy desperate if you want it doesn’t change the results. Assuming Russias economy will collapse now that *is* desperate and wishful thinking imo.
Russia may not have a huge reserve supply of well-trained soldiers, but neither does Ukraine and they have far fewer than Russia.
Ukraines only hope is to draw NATO into the fight against Russia, and that obviously ain’t happening, try as some people may.

The game is all about the Western combat multipliers.

Any verification of Ukraine crossing ? Most are escaping the Kherson region & are becoming more demoralized, by Russian occupation, it seems from interviews.

When you have better weaponry and better soldiers you can even the odds with their numbers. All Russian soldiers are just cannon fodder to draw out enemy positions so they can shell it into oblivion. Same old Russian tactics they used in WW2. Russia’s economy is already on the verge of collapse and they can’t make more precisions weapons without components from other countries. Ukraine may be falling back but they make the Russians bleed heavily for every little bit of ground they take and make them suffer heavy losses. They reportedly have already used 60% of their precision weapons which is partly why you are seeing antique T-62’s coming to the front lines. You also can’t forget motivation. Ukrainians are defending their homes, Russians have no clue what the frick they are doing and are seeing people die all around them.

They have already repelled Russia in the North so yes I do.

True and I agree, time is on Russia’s side provided they take quick advantage of their artillery, air power and numbers. But so far they have not done this and it could allow Ukraine time to gear up and stop them.

Russian leaders have never given economic issues much thought. Starving people as a means to an end is no big deal. Putin won’t miss a meal.

We don’t need to put boots on the ground, we just need the boots on the ground to get supplies.

Ukraine needs modern heavy weapons in large numbers. We’re sending a mix of older equipment in inadequate quantities.

Like I said the boots on the ground need to be armed.

We? You’re on the side of the Russians you’ve made that abundantly clear. You shouldn’t be allowed to call yourself an American.

He's not "Pulling for the Russians." He's just not buying cheap, dumb propaganda like most of you are.
