Searched, but didn’t see anything. Kid’s a Comeaux high senior and a 14 yo and a 13 yo tried to carjack him. Freakin horrible.

That's awful.

Why does this:

seem to be happening more frequently nowadays, all over the place?

Organized gangs use minors for lots of the big crimes because worst case is a juvie record and free at 18.

Also, I'd bet my next paycheck those two kids don't have a dad at home.

The question must be asked:
Is Lafayette as bad as Baton Rouge?

Guessing probably drug related. Robbed at 2:30AM.

There are some townhouses down there, I bet that's where it occurred.

Found another story at KATC with the kid's sister's message about the situation.

Guess it doesn't sound like they're getting very good news on his prognosis.

Teens charged with attempted 1st degree murder...clearly they targeted the victim, as in he wasn't some unlucky random person.

They'll probably spend a few years in juvy then be on the streets with a sealed record

IMO whoever pulled the trigger deserves to be an old man before he's free again.

Not in this state sir. These two will be released after only a few years. Follow their 'careers' they'll be released over and over on parole for the rest of their lives. Isn't the Justice Reform Initiative just wonderful ? If the public only knew a tenth of what was in that terrible bill passed w/ the help of REPUBLICANS.

Cause we live in a time where anything more than a stern word and mean face qualifies as child abuse

when looking for drugs at 230am goes wrong

my cousins wife got killed looking for crack at 1am, he tried to sell her soap, she was wise to it and refused to pay, he shot her in the neck

most anything happening to someone sitting in a car after midnight is about drugs

I'd rather we lock the criminals up or kill them so they quit doing criminal shite.
