Need to have your municipal courts handing out community service make those folk put on an orange vest and get to picking.

I cleaned up my neighborhood the last couple of days. Picked up 4 bags of trash. It is infuriating out trashy people are.

Also, frick lazy property owners that do not maintain their properties. The furniture shop across the street is a frickin disaster and I cleaned up their shite because I was tired of looking at it.

If everyone was forced to do one day a few times a year of picking up trash they might be a lot less trashy.

frick litterers and yes I am mad.

Over the past few weekends there is a large group of volunteers cleaning up major intersections in BR. Last weekend I-12 and Sherwood. Today I-10 and Siegen.

Those people displaced trans-home Americans from the Siegen I-12 median? Home disadvantaged minorities? Urban campers? They have no right!

It’s also an embarrassment that our local officials ignore this garbage and the bums and panhandlers that leave behind. My home town truly has become a shithole.

Spent the day running around BR. It’s disgusting and an absolute disgrace that it’s as trashy as it is. I hope every politician in that shithole steps on a piece of garbage and gets tetanus.

And Siegen is every bit as bad as the OT makes it out to be. Homeless, trash, and trashy homeless everywhere around the I10 corridor. BR has nothing to be proud of.

The amount of litter in LA is unreal at times

I was driving through Vermont last week and noticed absolutely zero litter anywhere. I saw a state trooper run in the middle of the interstate to drag a tire off the road. It reminded me of where I live

judges give out wrist slaps or catch and release, and the young upstarts are busy breaking out of juvy with help from sympathetic female guards.

It’s every bit of a shitehole as described here daily.

What is sad is that you need an organization to do this, I visited LA with an ex from there and know what you mean, but damn how hard is it to keep your trash in your truck and put it in your own trash can?

I grew in New Orleans back in the late 60's and there were public garbage cans everywhere
It's no excuse for people littering, but the garbage cans outside the doors of every fast food restaurant are gone, and the ones as you walk up to the doors of stores in most strip centers too.

A Burger King here in Ruston was the only fast food restaurant that had one for people going through their drive-thru until COVID shut everything down. It was gone when they reopened the store. Sometimes I will ask the people taking my money at restaurants to take a cup, If I have nowhere to put a drink I'm buying from them.

Gas stations, convenience stores, one shopping center North of I-20, Walmart, and Walgreens here are the only stores I can think of that still have garbage cans out front.

I would fill a utility cart and post a photo on the neighborhood FB page.

At first I thought, “what a passive aggressive douchey thing to do.” Then I had a swift change of heart and realized that’s exactly what Facebook should be used for.

Unfortunately, sounds like your altruism didn’t have much effect. People love to shite under the table they eat dinner at.

Every time I fly down from CO, it's the first thing I notice just driving around Louisiana. It's embarrassing to introduce people to where I grew up.

There have been multiple stories over the years of foreign executives being escorted around Louisiana looking at possible sites for manufacturing plants, but the amount of trash and litter everywhere turning them off from doing business in the state.

And the bums will have those intersections back to third world status in no time.

It's not just the bums, it's dipshit cigarette smokers who toss out the window like it will magically disappear. Growing up in BR I used to be amazed at the hundreds of butts that gather in certain intersections. Trashy gonna trash.
