Non Baton Rouge people don’t care if Baton Rouge disappears. It wouldn’t be missed.

It will be interesting to see how long the big piles of trash they collected and put along the side of Siegen will sit there. Watch the city just leave them there for weeks

You sure post a lot about BR for someone who doesn't care. What mecca do you live in?

But it’s amazing that they can make something as simple and menial as trash pick up turn into some sort of bloated, inefficient and overly expensive operation…no wonder it never gets done

Correct. Instead of just grabbing some losers out of the parish prison and making them pick up the garbage, they’ll ask for a study and fiddle frick around for years trying to figure out how to pick up garbage instead of picking it up.

Just passed through Sherwood and I-12 intersection. The volunteers cleaned here two weeks ago and all those nasty shithead addicts have already trashed the area. Our city officials and police are a disgrace that they allow this

I don't like the police either but they are not to blame here. What are they supposed to do? They can't really do much but issue a summons that will just get tossed on the ground.

EBR needs to implement a system like Rapides Parish. They have give their prisoners additional privilege's (MUCH better food, longer visitor hours, more time outside) but they have to work on a day crew picking up trash, weedeating, etc. There is so much ABLE BODIED workforce sitting right there warehoused that would do this work in a heartbeat. How they haven't figured out how to re-create here is asinine and a pathetic leadership in EBR. Sad state of affairs, quite literally.

Bumping this thread

Please volunteer and call your council representative and the sheriffs department. The bums are now going onto school campuses

I was driving through Vermont last week and noticed absolutely zero litter anywhere.

Utah is the same way. The lack of trash in SLC is noticeable.
