I’ve got a restaurant close to my house that does a fried chicken and red beans and rice wrap and it’s stupid good.

I've been missing these for a long time now. Just found out a few minutes ago that they've been gone for thirty years.

A corn dog from this place:

Although, there are only in two places left in America still open in Laurel, Mississippi and in Houma, Louisiana at Southland Mall.

Just stopped at the one in Houma. It was pretty busy. Got my jumbo corn dog and cheese on a stick.

quote:

Mix the seasoning into the milk. Add 20 onion rings to the basket. Dunk in seasoned milk. Dredge in flour. Dunk in milk. Dredge in flour. Fry.

I don't know why they dropped them; they were insanely popular.

This dude Popeyes. I always preferred to do onion rings than to frick with the chicken.

Sometime in the late 90s (maybe more recent, but it’s been at least 20 years) Popeye’s changed their biscuit recipe.

I’m still not over it.

Apparently, they changed it again in the last few years, because it was edible until recently.

Now it is a nasty hockey puck of dry crusty shite.

And they stopped doing livers about the same time.

Maybe been there twice in the last 3-4 years. It just isn't very good any more.
