About 5 minutes ago I had to lay off the majority of me and my brother's workforce. We had 38 full time employees , I just laid off 32 of them and just kept a skeleton crew for orders that are outstanding. I was able to pay for the next paycheck and any outstanding commissions/bonus. Hopefully by Easter I can call them with a ressurection of business. That is 32 families that I was responsible for . If people don't think bosses don't care or make light of these things ,they have no idea what this does.

I had to lay off 35 last Wednesday. It’s a horrible feeling.

damn man that is harsh - and the fact you feel bad shows you are a good person and human. i hope that when this settles, your able to get those people back and your business and all of yours and their livelihoods are able to recover and prosper.

That sucks, man, but it isn't your fault. I hope you'll be able to get back to normal and rehire your guys.

I'm really sorry to hear that. For whatever it's worth I'll be thinking of and praying for you and your employees and all the people like them. This thing is monstrous and the sooner it ends the better.

KiwiHead (and Tim): It's hard to do it. Hard to be on the receiving end. It just sucks. You're a good person to anguish over it. Can be just as hard on you as the one laid off because of guilt and the fear of the unknown.

Frick the corona.

If Nancy wasn't playing politics with peoples lives, you would not have had to do that

Terrible but understandable. I’m sure they understood it too unfortunately. Hope your business gets back soon and even better than before.

Very sorry, guys. Few can know what you are feeling.

May things bounce back sooner, rather than later. Best of luck to all.

My son got laid off yesterday, he was an electrical apprentice. Like I told him, these are unusual times that won't last forever but it sucks. He really liked the job and company, he was really bummed out. Later in the evening he got a call from the companies office in Lake Chuck offering him a job on a big project there once this virus gets the hell out of here.

Thanks for being selfless enough to think of others during this shite time we’re all dealing with.
