I just got done with a conference call with two small business owners, and several of their key employees, that are close to beinh forced to shut it down for a few weeks.
These amazing bastards have come up with a plan to pay their employees enough to keep them afloat. The employees have already outlined their true needs, and the business owners have a book keeper that is going towork with the employees and directly pay their bills.
My faith in humanity was partially restored when they said that almost half of their employees said that they felt that they would be alright, would let them know if anything changed, and to use the money to help their coworkers.
The kicker is that the owners are chipping in a substantial amount of cash to help make this work.

I employ about 30, 000 in 23 different countries. I was very unsure of how to treat my engineers in Nairobi. But in the end I had to let them go. I have only kept my production forces in Mali and Cambodia going. My executive VP I. America has had to help me.

I'll never forgive China for this. It fricking sucks what this has done to my business and my employees.
I think China sent the virus here either in test tubes or actual sick people. Every major airport and shipping port along with Washington State for its high tech industry.

We're down close to 100, with more happening daily, this is a government created disaster.

For those in a capacity to hire/fire:
I've been thinking, the WORST thing in the world right now is to have no job and have to look for one.
Seems to be being partially employed, at even a reduced salary, and at least to keep benefits, and staying "employed" is far preferable. And if it came up, why not ask if that could be an option? Who knows. IF/WHEN the employer turned it around you could go back to full salary.

You’ve obviously never gotten off the interstate in Slidell.
