I really can’t blame them but damn I’ve been on their waitlist for weeks. Why couldn’t the burglars wait just a couple more weeks ??

Shoot a few and hang them out on the lawn like scarecrows and the others will get the message. Then only thing they understand is force and fear

I’m a real estate agent and the home inspector I use pretty much exclusively won’t work in Orleans parish at all. He’s told me there has been several instances where inspectors have been victims of crime, including one guy who was up on a roof and some thugs took his ladder, and proceeded to break into his truck.

Na... Hire some military contractors and give them some targets. Would save a lot of money in the long run.

Think about how much money a few people cost the taxpayers. The politicians don't care because they benefit.

Now our D A isn’t a radical, but he isn’t making a difference either.

Radical in what sense? That goofy fricker just said if you aren’t in a gang, BR is perfectly safe. All the crime is drug and gang related. I guess the 80 year old man who was sitting on his porch off Highland Road when he was mugged by two TPOS in a Dodge Charger is slinging dope, right? Guess all the crime around LSU is Bloods and Crips?
He’s a radical. Radically incompetent.

And those statements were made after he tried to compare crime prevention program funding to the LSU HC’s salary. As if the two are comparable. He’s a quack. A radical, politicized quack. Just
Like the police chief.

Buddy of mine and myself were fixing a hole in my roof and some ghetto looking dude just happened to have car trouble in front of my driveway. Friend had tools in the truck bed. We both walked around to the front of the roof and his truck magically started up again.

this was at like 9am on a saturday. frick thieves

That conversation in Clerks about the guy refusing to roof the gangster’s house in New Jersey comes to mind.

He isn’t out there letting people go, but he quietly sits there getting re-elected and says little of nothing about helping the cops, about hos bad the mayor and judges are and the bail situation.

What company was this? Roofing is booming right now in NO since the weather is nice. My family is in the business and I haven't heard of issues this bad. I can't stand Teedy or NO crime and that city needs to get its shite together and stop voting D. But this NO=Mogadishu narrative is getting way overblown on this site.

This is a great way to boost minority owned businesses.

The mob has used this tactic before.

Make sure to report back when you crew gets robbed, tools or vehicle(s) gets stolen. Everything is always overblown.
Until it happens to you.

I did a Google strretview search of 8761 Old Gentilly Rd after a story about a stolen truck was found there.

There must be 1000+ vehicles out there that I can only assume are stolen.

The other company was based out of Jefferson Parish. I’d imagine they’re giving up a huge portion of their revenue if they’re eliminating Orleans Parish. Guess they’re busy enough to where they feel it won’t impact them enough
I doubt it'll impact them at all until the hurricane repair jobs start slowing down. But know what will cost them revenue? Having to postpone jobs they already had scheduled because their crew got robbed on the job site and can't get back to work until their tools and truck get replaced.

Plenty enough work still to go around where roofers can afford to be a little picky and not have to take jobs in Orleans Parish for now.
