Like others have said, would be nice to know your location. If in the Baton Rouge area and not afraid of heights and people, I may have something for you

Screened in pool enclosure

If you have a screened in pool enclosure and you’re not located in southern Louisiana, could you please share with me the contractor details?
Location?
First and foremost you need to ask that the hold the proper insurance and liability and that they have the proper license to pull the permit.

Then start worrying about the actual job

Best to just have the screws changed out with a bigger size.
Guy talking about gold roof is completely wrong. There’s roof fortified, silver, and gold.

Roof is just the roof
Silver is roof, doors, windows, etc
Gold can pretty much only be established when building a new home as it involves silver plus foundation, tying into foundation, etc

Yes it has to be recertified every 5 years

We have to be certified but there are also actual inspectors to certify everything
Give Tri21 roofing and construction a shout

First, admins if this is acceptable please anchor or delete.

Many of you know and have been support when my daughter was born in 2019 with Down syndrome. She’s great and a daddy’s little girl.

We’ve since started a business in honor of her and other people like her. This post isn’t about that.

Yearly the Down syndrome Awareness Group of Baton Rouge nonprofit does so for our kids. Free swim lessons, eye glasses/appointments, trusts meetings with lawyers, etc. They are an amazing group.

Their Buddy Walk is coming up soon. If you’d like to sponsor the walk please let me know and I can get you the information. If you’d like to just join my little ones team, just let me know.

More importantly, just come out and have fun. It’s a great family event. Fun for kids of all ages and abilities.

No feedback but a buddy is one of the salespeople. There’s just 3 guys and they split commission on everything sold even if they are off for the day.

That’s all I got
They are part of the IYKYK 2026 Poker Run. I have no clue what that is but we were on the way back from Houston today and whatever it is had stopped at Buccees. Lambos. Rolls Royce SUV. Porsches.

I tried parking the family van with them and got some looks.

What if said metal fence is overgrown with 20-30 years of weeds, trash trees, etc?

Spotted the start of a house fire

Had just come down from a roof inspection. Had a new guy with me. We were at my truck talking. I was looking over his shoulder and noticed a weird smoke. Told him to turn around a look. He agreed it was odd. We walked up to the detached garage and saw the blaze. Ran to back door and banged on the back door. Older couple. They had no clue what was going on. Got on the phone and called 911. Poor lady tried spraying with her water hose. Luckily StG fire department got there fairly quick and were able to contain the fire to detached garage and walkway.

With the amount of smoke that was billowing out the house, I can imagine they have lots of smoke damage but could’ve been way worse. It took all of 3 minutes for it to go from me noticing the smoke to flames coming out the roof. Scary stuff.
