Is it a patch or whole roof replacement?

I need a couple ridge caps replaced and I really need this flat section on the back of the house fixed. The flat portion is about 6’x40’ on the rear of the house. I might need a general contractor to do that portion and then have a roofing company put shingles on top. Was hoping to find one that can do it all.

I’ve tried calling roofing companies for months with zero luck

Unfortunately this is really what it takes to make new Orleans have to be fixed.

The refusal to work is the only way Latoya is gonna get any really attention and have to answer real questions

Why on earth would anyone make this up? Following the cancellation I reached out to a builder I used once to build me a house in Lakeview and this is what he said:
quote:

Yeah, it’s crazy. I know several companies are starting to do that now. I’m building a couple of houses in Lakeview now and a few of my guys aren’t willing to go there anymore because their cars keep getting broken into while they’re in the house working???????

If this is news to you then you haven’t been paying much attention

Can you imagine who they'll elect after that?

If some rapper from NOLA like Lil Boozie wanted to be elected mayor of NOLA, I could see that happening. His platform could be some kind of motto that describes and glorifies straight up thug life. IMHO that's where NOLA is headed.

did a Google strretview search of 8761 Old Gentilly Rd after a story about a stolen truck was found there.

There must be 1000+ vehicles out there that I can only assume are stolen.

Looks like there’s a junk yard there. Gate further down the road.

ETA: nevermind, the view from above is insane. No idea. Wasteland.

There’s like a River of old cars

Anyone know of a roofing company that is willing to go into the war zone?

I've seen Premier South trucks in my Orleans Parish neighborhood repairing several roofs since Ida, including one last week. Seems like they're still willing to work in NOLA.

The people in charge can say all they want... make all the plans they want.. Nothing is going to happen until they put boots on the ground, whether that be military or more cops..And keep/send these frickers in jail..

I'm all for bringing in the National Guard but the mayor and police chief are not having that because it would be
admitting they are incompetent at their jobs. They would rather see the city burn than admit defeat.

really can’t blame them but damn I’ve been on their waitlist for weeks. Why couldn’t the burglars wait just a couple more weeks ??

I truly couldn’t imagine living somewhere where I couldn’t get workers out because they get robbed to often

That’s honestly next level

The City is having the same issues right now as a lot of projects have stalled due to security & safety issues so they aren’t working in Orleans.

You shouldn’t dignify it by capitalizing City or labeling it “The City” now The Shithole might work.

Or “The Shitty”
