My inspection sticker disappeared 10/21 when the windshield was replaced post Ida.

Again.. regular LA inspection stickers clearly say, on the back of the sticker, that they expire the last day of the month stamped.
Very well could be different for heavy vehicles, but for cars it’s the end of the month.

Cops just make up their own rules/laws as they go. Some have no clue what they are doing and think they have all the power to do anything they want. It's crazy although it's always been like this. Especially in the south.

Inspection sticker is a huge scam. You'd be amazed at states in the North who don't have inspection stickers like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota have lower insurance rates. Those of who you have lived in other states with and without the inspection sticker knows that it makes no difference in safety or insurance rates.
If I was running for state-wide office in LA getting rid of the inspection sticker is a winner.

Except for that pesky law that says there is a 30day grace period. The sticker isn't the law. Cop was a tard for issuing it. First year law student gets that tossed.

Got mine in 2020 and the 04/20 the 20 fell off like a month later. I went back and dude said the 20 stickers were defective but he couldn't give me another one. So I been rolling with 04 ever since.

I was pulled over with an expired sticker driving 60 opposite the officer driving 60 the other way. He recognized that the color was not up to date. Considering the speeds in opposite directions I was impressed by his vision.

I think it makes a difference when car reaches certain age.

It takes 20 minutes of your time and costs less than $20...IF, the 'inspection' is actually done properly i.e. emissions/tire condition/ REQUIRED registration and INSURANCE, I don't have a big issue with it ! The less non-registered/non-insured morons on the road the better !
