The goal is to get attention. To stand out from the crowd. Without makeup she’s not ugly but hardly a standout. So she goes the well trod path of having a shtick. Same thing Boy George did 40 years ago. It’s worked for her bc young kids think she’s breaking new ground.

When my girlfriend is in my truck, I give her control of the music. This has led to me becoming familiar with a few of Chappell Roan’s songs. After listening to her song “Pink Pony Club” I decided to look her up. Much of her act is based around LGBTQ stuff and drag queens. She is a lesbian herself. The drag get up she wears is apparently sort of part of her “on stage” persona.

Yeah a lot of her stuff appeals to young lesbos and gays, but man she has some bangers. Pink Pony Club is good (and has a damn good solo in it) and Red Wine Supernova is my favorite

I've listened to Olivia's music. Someone hurt that girl bad. She's like the new Alanis Morisette. Every song is about a break up or getting fricked over by a guy.

I’m like 50/50 on this but I think I may have been a counselor at a distance running camp chappel would have been at her junior year of HS.
I’m fairly certain her school was there just not sure she was (she was a pretty decent xc runner in high school apparently)
