That photo is so unflattering. While not my idea of classically beautiful and well put together she actually looked magnitudes better at the Grammys. This picture is far more accurate.
The OP's pic is one you could use to scare little kids into behaving with, the more accurate picture is a couple of makeup removing towelettes from being 100% doable.

Her entire album Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is pretty good. It's got an 80s pop feel to it. It's worth a listen
