I don’t know what kind of judge/lawyer would think this video was a good idea….it was entertaining, though!

He made some funny comments, but you could really see the pain he was feeling when he’d pause between sentences and stare off into the distance. I can’t imagine having to tear away 3 generations of people. Kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

If he raised them, they are still his sons. Yeah wife cheated on him but that shouldn’t matter as far as the sons go.

I’ve heard it estimated this type of situation(unknowingly raising another man’s child) is around 3-10% of all pregnancies.

These guys are in their 30s. If he doesn’t want to be their dad anymore he doesn’t have to. They should be mature enough to understand the situation. I swear we have a society of simps.

This is a perfect example of how meme culture is rotting our society. Ironically, your use of “society of simps” more accurately describes the view you advocate for where the person who got his feelings hurt can act irrationally and everyone else is supposed to respect it.

While I certainly understand the judge’s pain and feeling of betrayal, that 100 % needs to be directed toward the wife. His two sons - by virtue that he raised them - are also innocent victim’s of his wife’s infidelity.

From the video it sounds like the sons may be “deadbeats”, which is a different story and justification for changing the relationship.

Sucks finding out your world isn't what you thought it was.
BTW, that was a quality sneeze.

France passed a law (don’t know if it’s been upheld by their system) that heavily restricts paternity test. They feared that allowing the masses to freely test would cause a significant disruption in their society because of the high number of tests that would show infidelity.

We could probably solve a bunch of problems if paternity test and listing the father on the birth certificate were both mandatory.

Idealistic couple and don’t need the test to prove your love? Fine, just sign the birth certificate and the child is legally yours forever, regardless of what any future tests show.

Pregnancy was the result of rape or some other horrible circumstance? Easy solution. A judge can rule that the father will be “unnamed” on the birth certificate and that the father can make no future claims on custody.

I’m reserving judgment until I review all his rulings to see if all of them were actually based on the law.

Maybe what goes around comes around.
