Your dad didn’t teach you about assumptions?

Sounds like a stand-up guy.

I'm just glad you made it this far with such a loser for a father.

Prayers sent.

It's been hard to follow all this.

I have one question.

Do you think it is or should be illegal to write the words "HIT LIST" and some names on a piece of paper?

Or do you believe and/or read the statute that it is illegal to write the list AND THEN PURPOSEFULLY USE THE LIST to alarm others?

Nowhere in that link did it say "kill" or "murder".
Was merely a list of assholes.

In Mandeville, absolutely. The bullies run the city.

You're doing the same thing the other poster did.

You also don't know if it was merely a list of arse holes.

We know there was a list. We do not know exactly what the intent of the list was. Could have been just a list of bullies, could be a list of people she wrote down that she'd kill, could be a list she said she'd get revenge on but didn't say how, could be any number of other things too.

I can’t even finish reading this thread, I made it to page 3. I’m hoping more facts came out.

Some ppl just already have a stance and will argue one side til the death, no matter what.

Up until I stopped reading , “we” had no idea to what extent the bullying was done. Maybe it was really light, maybe they verbally threatened physical harm, maybe she was physically hit.

“We” had no idea if the student actually had any intent to carry out physical violence. Maybe she was just venting on paper, maybe she wanted to commit the same bullying they did to her, or maybe she was gonna try to physically end their lives , or maybe just fight them.

I love grown men on a message board to basically tell a 13 year old girl to suck up bullying, when we have no idea what the bullying even is.

I’m more curious what the bullying was. Did she tell anyone. What did the adults do or not do. What did she actually intend to do with the hit list. Is LE investigating what happened for those exact names to be put on that list.

I understand the visceral reaction people have to bullying, but this is a crazy statement. Y’all need to understand there is an influx of really weird girls that age and sometimes they get called out for the weird stuff they say or do in classrooms. That’s not necessarily bullying. 90% of the time kids report to me that they are being bullied, it’s total bs. It just feels weird to pick sides one way or another without all the details.

Irony is all the liberal schools protect the bullies and go after the victim. If she would have defended herself from the bullies, I can promise you she would have been the one in trouble. Seem it, heard it from kids and in news time and time again

I mean, I found a story I wrote when I was in 5th grade where Jason Vorhees broke into the school and, using a myriad of alliterative adjectives, dispatched the people who bullied me/I didn't like.

Remembering back
He...
Barbecued Brandi
Butterflied Brandon
Butchered Blake
Decapitated Dane
Flambéed Frankie
Macerated Morgan
Shish-ka-bobbed Stephan

And so on.

I never harmed anyone outside of some schoolyard scuffles. But I'm sure I would have been given the nth degree these days

Freedom of speech violation by the Mandeville Police Department and by the Mandeville Junior High staff. The real criminals are the children who are bullying the young child. They need to lock them up and their parents.

Did it just have names? Did it indicate harm would come to them? A hit list could mean several things to a very good defense attorney. And a violation of her 1st amendment right.

So, it’s impossible for someone to misperceive or misconstrue being bullied?

being bullied

Kids this age have had “bullying” pounded into their heads since they started school. I understand that real bullying does go on and often needs to be addressed. However, these kids now define any undesirable behavior directed at them as bullying, and, many times, it’s far from bullying. I’ve had students accuse other students of bullying them for things like looking at them in a way that they didn’t like or breaking up with them. Attempts at awareness quickly evolved into over generalizing

Seems like an arse backward solution. Arrest the victim and protect the bullies.
